WEEK 1 MINGLE
As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect
For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.
However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.
Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

--Or maybe it's just that it sends him careening directly into the octopus and he lands facefirst onto the sucker part of one-or-more of its tentacles. There's a lot of muffled screeching and flailing as he tries to extract himself and the octopus, its curiosity piqued, winds more arms around him.......]

[ This is being cast on Nora, so... enjoy feeling that minor boost to attack, defense, and agility??? It's not as much as it could be, outside of this place, but. It's something?
Also enjoy the sight of a very cutesy Loki, for anyone paying attention to the being floating behind Goro, when he casts that ability. ]

[Nora should thank SOMEBODY for the Heat Riser but he's too busy trying to burst out of Tentaclesville -- he succeeds instead in getting one arm free and now he's just engaged in a slapfight with an octopus.]

[While the octopus probably doesn't understand him, the hitting and the tone probably get through and it starts wrapping tentacles up and around its head as though in defense... while still gripping Nora up like a bad excuse for a sushi garnish.....]

Well, at least, he would think that... during a struggle against a 500-something pound/kilogram octopus? Is, quite possibly, the worst time to be laughed at and/or mocked???

I don't... actually have any abilities that won't hurt the octopus, so maybe I should focus on keeping you guys shielded?

[ While this would normally reflect damage...? All it's going to do is nullify a single physical attack (or anything viewed as such, since P5 is all about perception, and all) for Nora.
Then, as soon as Goro gets a chance, he'll be casting the same spell on Silver. ]

[he levitates the whole kit and kaboodle with some effort and... drops both Nora and octopus-san in the pool with a splash. Then he sits on the ground, huffing and puffing]

[Nora's half-muttering that to himself while he's still slapfighting the octopus and getting covered in octogoo. It's great. Somehow the octopus manages to keep its grip despite the increasing slipperiness of life: truly sea creatures are a different breed to fight. There's a yelp and increased tentacle flailing once both of them realize they're slowly rising into the air--
And Nora lets out an even louder yell when he feels the bottom drop out of his stomach once Shadow lets go and gravity grabs him again along with the ever-present tentacle--]
Aw, NOT AGAIN!
[--before: SPLOOSH they both land in the pool in an impressive spray of water, probably emptying out half the thing. The good news is that the octopus finally loosens its grip now that it's in a slightly more familiar environment. The bad news is that Nora immediately starts dogpaddling aggressively in a bid to charge the octopus again.......]
I'VE ABOUT HAD IT WITH THIS. TIME TO END IT, DON'T INTERFERE!!

[The good news is that Nora can't finish his hollering despite the untimely dog reference, Silver that was the worst way to get him to cool his head even in the middle of the pool -- but then an entire other person lands on him and welp it's time to sink entirely out of earshot and yellingshot.
There's some choking and bubbling noises while Nora disappears under Goro and some stray octobits, and then some loud splashing and general turbulence in the water before they surface again -- there's probably some vague shoving going on but it's very hard to be violent while covered in octopus slime, squashed to the side of the pool by said octopus and also yeah, water slowing everything down.]
What the hell-- [cough, cough] --'re you doing, in here--
[There's a pause where Nora shakes himself off furiously so sorry for the extra splashing there, Goro.]
IS NOW REALLY THE TIME TO BE LETTIN' THIS DUMB THING GO FREE!!
[He's pointing at the hapless octopus. Also his stomach is grumbling as always. F.]
