WEEK 1 MINGLE
As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect
For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.
However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.
Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

He still looks up with the hint of a blush, though, once he realizes Someone Just Saw. ]
Oh... Hello there.

Is that any good, by the way?

... then holds it out so she can read the back, if she wants. If she does, the summary will tell her that the story is about this group of people barely surviving after an apocalypse - they're stuck living together on some spaceship. Some virus just broke out, though, and they all have to figure out what to do with that.
It's got action! It's got romance! ]
So far, the pacing isn't terrible. They could stand to do a little more research on what living in space would be like, since it seems like they're doing what most writers do - focus more on drama, than fact...

Most series definitely don't deal with facts for living in space and wind up becoming popular. Just look at Macross.

That's true. I think the only problem I have here is they try to match up to real-life situations at the most random times, on top of it all. This time, it strictly feels... inconsistent, rather than being just what you'd expect.
Or maybe a better way to put it would be... it feels kind of like there's some fumbling on the writer's part, just with that area. A lot of realistic details get poured into anything regarding medicine, anatomy... any general health-related issues, really...
[ And so Inaba was introduced to the rambling side....... ]
But, when it comes down to the setting, it feels like they were rushed, and decided to just go with whatever would mold around what they did research.

[ That's a bit of a groan as she narrows her eyes a little bit. ]
Yeah, if they're referencing real life events then we get into some troublesome territory. . . if you don't do enough research it's a pain, if you do too little it's a pain. It's so much easier to just craft your own shit, but even then it has to be creative enough for someone to enjoy it.
There are, thankfully, a good amount of series like that.
Although if it's like that... they might have a more biased interest in those topics in particular.
[ That's what she thinks, anyway. ]
They probably thought they could get away with it.
