WEEK 1 MINGLE

As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect

For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.

However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.

Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

Yes, but back home I didn't cook. And it's just cheaper.

Are you not an adolescent human still growing and not having reached physical and mental maturity?

Mental maturity is completely psychological. . . and is just defined by science crap and legality.

Also I doubt I'd grow any taller.

The prefrontal cortex is still developing past the common age of maturity in most societies, including Japan. At twenty, there are still several years until it reaches full maturity in a physiological sense, which also affects mental maturity due to it's role in cognition, emotion, and decision making.

...I agree you would not likely grow any taller, however.

I have had a long time to observe and learn.

Is that one of your hobbies?

I suppose you could call it that, but for the longest time it was the only action available to me.

Exactly what I said. I could only watch and observe as humans evolved and began to walk their own path.

...because I was concerned for the consequences if I did more.

That sounds pretty serious. . . what, would something bad happen if you did more?

[visionem]

Mankind was never meant to flourish as it did in my world. The laws of providence decree the path of the universe, and so it is written, so it will be. Deviations outside the margin of error are...handled.

So basically, you're saying that most things in your world are essentially "set in stone". Kind of like fate, I guess... I think that kind of bullshit, really.

Exactly like fate. [ If she's looked at his profile, it's one of his dislikes. ]

If that's what you think, how would you change it?

Honestly? I don't know. I just want to live my life out the way I want to-- not the way other people or anything else tells me to. It's true that I can't do it now, not here. But being able to do that is the goal, in the end, I guess. I just want to live normally.

To live normally...yes, I know someone who thought the same. He is very free spirited and full of cheer.

Perhaps you two would have gotten along.

Maybe we would have. It would have been nice to meet other people.
