WEEK 1 MINGLE
As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect
For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.
However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.
Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

Did you want me to cook it for you? [ Taking the crack smacking in stride because this is just dogs (demons) do, play with their food. ]

[He doesn't even know! What a tiger crab really is!! Still!!!!
He does indeed play with his food and has been doing that all yesterday and today, he's a bad dog. That being said, Nora tilts his head and then just shoves a chunk of crab at Alcor, leaning forward a little because he's only really seen his food magic up close a couple of times still and never on something he hunted!
(It was him! He hunted his dinner!)]
Whatever, I'm hungry! How're you going to do this one?

Hmm... kani nabe. I doubt I will find a pot as big as I need to fit the entire crab inside, so there will be leftovers to cook in other ways. Is that acceptable? [ For Saki and anyone else who wants to join in on crab times. Alternatively, offer up suggestions because this is a lot of crab.
The chunk of crustacean is stopped with one raised hand—no two, right before it hits him, and now it's floating in the air like he is. There's a small frown at that, but it's gone just as quickly as it appeared. ]

[Sorry Cook #2 you're getting dragged in the line of duty. Nora's just like this, casually, and also he doesn't do visualization terribly well -- it took him so long even to be able to visualize the flow of magic and then drag it into real world applications. More importantly for the moment, though, he's still opening and closing his fist absently and glancing down at it once in a while.
Magic, magic... Crab. The crab is definitely more distracting, even if he's now watching the crab and Alcor floating at each other for some reason.]
Nabe, huh? I haven't had that in a while, 'specially not in the summer. But I'd still try it, obviously. [a tilt of the head as he looks around at the kitchen and then... the backyard and then... the hot tub] ... You think the hot tub is big enough?
[Nora no.]
no subject
Too bad Nora's not a cat or this whole floating nonsense might be more enjoyable (and distracting). ]
Ah you're right, it isn't the prime season for nabe but it is something you enjoy with others. [ So it's a good group meal? He thinks, and somewhere Jungo is nodding approvingly. Here at the house though, Alcor's eyes have tracked to the hot tub, to Nora, back to crab, and then to Nora again. There's a whole lot of looking going on. ]
...should we find out? [ Y'know there is a reason he's chaotic alignment. ]
no subject
He's much more interested in the state of the newly-minted nabe process, of course. There's the briefest pause at the mention of group meals and stuff. He wasn't really intending to share with anybody, but.
Obviously he's got to share with the cooks (or Saki will get mad, obviously). So maybe there will be allowances. The hot tub might be doomed, though......]
Well, yeah. Who would use that thing in this weather, anyway.
[They're both Chaotic alignment.......]

Ogre. Carry that over to the hot tub. [ You didn't expect him to do all the work here did you? With a crab this large, help isn't exactly necessary but appreciated. The ogre grumbles and starts lugging over the crab somewhat awkwardly. It's used to fighting things with a club not being a line cook, but this is happening. ]
Hm, he didn't always look that way, but the state of Hell does change constantly...
no subject
The hell happened to this guy? At least he's still useful for this sorta thing, but he really looks like he's losin' his dream signal or something.
[Yeah he's just going to completely bastardize the summoning system idea with his own idea of the summoning system idea. F. Granted Nora would have been perfectly happy to yeet the whole thing into the hot tub but this way is somewhat more interesting. And also the Ogre gets a fun, fashionable dip...]
This sort of thing happens in Hell...?
[Just sort of. Following along curiously. You can almost see the tails wagging, but if the tails were there the snakes would be looking on curiously too in this case.]
no subject
Your command is clear, unless you want me to simplify it further. [ Directed at the procrastinating ogre who visibly gulps and then basically tumbles into the water, chunk of crab and all.
Back to Nora, Alcor doesn't miss a beat. ]
I've never seen it this drastic, but yes. Constant power struggles often change the dynamics of the demon races and clans, so it's not too uncommon to summon a demon who's appearance has evolved. This however, is more similar to a devolution...
no subject
[If he puts together all the weird chatter they've thrown around about demon programs and summoning apps and who-knows-what (plus basic Foundation tech training that he SOMEWHAT remembers just about as far as he can throw a computer mouse when a program pisses him off), Nora can kind of parse that. Sort of.
There's a brief snicker at the demonic grumbling, even if it kind of sounds like him on any given day. What's self-awareness.]
Right, yeah, there's rogue demons all over? But most of the demon world's already under the control of the Dark Liege Army back home, so all the ones screwin' around end up in the human world. Maybe that's what's happening to it.
[He'll mosey over to the edge of the hot tub to prod at both the Ogre and the crab, why not.]
no subject
Why would being sent to the human world make it appear in this form? [ The crab has no reaction, but it is starting to thaw. The poor ogre slides back into the hot tub with the poke, managing to flop on the ground on it's second attempt. Animal crossing ogre probably isn't a good flavor for hotpots. ]
