WEEK 1 MINGLE

As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect

For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.

However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.

Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

I usually don't eat burgers since more of a... Frozen meals kind of person, you know? And I only know how to cook a few things.

But you don't mind?

Of course not! You want cheese? Toasted or untoasted bun? One patty or two?

I'd like cheese, toasted and double patty?

[eldritcheyes]

You got it!

[He drops the cut sides of the bun halves on the grill for a minute or so while he adds the cheese to two patties. Very soon, he's passing her a paper plate with a hot, juicy double cheeseburger.]

There's ketchup and mustard over there if you want some. I didn't do any veggies this time, but if we have a big barbecue party I'll definitely slice up stuff.

[ She smiles, a little amused. ]

Thanks. And don't worry about it, I'm sure I can handle a burger without any vegetables for one meal.

Oh yeah, sometimes you just want that meaty, cheesy goodness.

[He puts together a quick double for himself and takes a big bite, chewing happily. At least he swallows before he tries to talk.]

Man, the only thing that would make this better is bacon.

We'll need to ask the House for bacon.

[ She will keep that in mind for later as she takes a bite into her own burger. ]

We probably could do that, too.
