WEEK 1 MINGLE

As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect

For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.

However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.

Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

As is the House, apparently, because scarcely a second or two has passed before a shadow LOOMS over them -- which is actually just a whole-ass, tiger-sized crab materializing RIGHT ABOVE THEIR HEADS.

Nora instinctively whips his head up, gives a startled yell and immediately jumps and punches the crab. Which. This is already a shitshow and the crab hasn't even touched the ground yet. Because they were totally outside this whole time. Yes.

Then he gives it a solid kick just to get it out from above and there it goes, sailing away...... that probably wasn't a good idea but LOOK he is going with first instinct.

Those are some hellacious pincers, though?!]

[Atsushi hears the cracking sound before he sees it, and then he's looking up and WHY IS THERE A GIANT CRAB FLYING AT HIM.

He's shifting without even thinking, fur growing to cover his arms and nails sharpening to claws as he throws a heavy punch at the giant, grotesque thing to knock it off course with his body.]

What was that?!?!

[A few things happen at once.

One - The crab hurtles towards his face so fast that he can't react, despite being a servant.

Two - he was not expecting it. But who really expects flying crab to the face???

Three - In the space of the last few seconds of consciousness remaining before contact, Moriarty realizes that it's going to hit him right on the fucking head.

CRACK.]

[The crab falls to the floor, landing on it's back and flailing around, seemingly no worse for wear.

Moriarty, on the other hand...

He stands upright, eyes wide as a large trickle of blood runs down his face from where the crab connected with his forehead, running into his mustache and down his chin.

...

His eyes roll up, and he collapses into a heap.

Moriarty is dead.*

*Actually just stunned and maybe concussed]

[arraignments]

James-san!!

[ omfg what happen!!!!

He's running over, jfc, gonna check his pulse and breathing??? And look incredibly upset as he does.

But, it's good that he's not dead. He's gonna try casting his one (1) healing spell, so. Uh. Have the equivalent of Dia, or something.

... And also a very cartoonish and cutesy version of Robin Hood. ]

[The wound on his head heals, at least - the blood drying up and vanishing before he groans, eyelids fluttering.

His pulse and breathing is strong, at least - though he's definitely still pretty stunned and mostly unconscious.]

[Oh no oh no oh no

Saki presses a hand to her mouth, running to Moriarty's side as quickly as she can without running right into the battle against the crab.]

Moriarty! I'm so sorry!

[His eyes open slightly, though they're unfocused.]

Mas...ter...?

It's Saki. [What are you supposed to do in this situation-]

Do you know where you are right now?

[He groans again, squeezing his eyes shut.]

...That...house...? Mm...

[arraignments]

[ He's letting out a relieved breath and nodding. ]

Let's be careful not to move him or let him move around, for now.

[ Goro's looking around, quickly asking- ]

Do you happen to know where Ozaki is, Saki?

No, I don't. I don't see him often...

[And then to Moriarty.]

Please keep your eyes open. Do you remember which SCP this is?

WHAT WAS THAT??!??

['Cause like, even Nora's kind of flabbergasted at this sequence of events here?? He was seriously just expecting to punch the crab a couple of times even if it wasn't a whole-ass tiger-scale crab, maybe box with its pincers and get himself pinched because that's par for the course when he meets opponents like this.

Yes, the crab is an opponent.

But somehow the crab became some kind of disaster domino boomerang and now Moriarty is down?? Where did this other guy even come from and holy shit Saki's going to kill him.]

Ugh, I'm going to get yelled at again! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT, STUPID CRAB.

[So obviously, in the absence of all logic, it's time to take it out on the crab; instead of properly giving it last rites or subduing it or whatever -- he's going to kick it again a couple of times, hard enough to send it spinning at Atsushi again -- watch out for the pincers at high speeds!]

M-Moriarty-san! Is he--

[Is that blood?! Atsushi wants to go check, but others are already closer and well on their way to do so, and then Nora is kicking it right back at him and Atsushi's got no choice but to spar with... a gigantic crab.

Luckily, the tiger's strength is such that he can grapple with those pincers, but he's looking more than a little frazzled.]

can you warn me first!!!!!

Yeah, yeah, he's moving and everything! Nobody's dead, except you, crab!!

[Yeah he's just seriously throwing down the gauntlet with a stupidly lorge crab -- Nora did have a moment of pause once Atsushi ended up with the crab, just to quickly check in on the Great Grandpa Situation over there -- but his senses are good enough to pick up that much information and so he focuses all the way back on the crustacean disaster unfolding in front of him.

Though, now that everything's kind of settled into the usual sort of disaster his lip curls into something that's almost a grin.]

What, havin' the crab around for this long wasn't enough warning already? Want me to juggle it next time just in case?

[And while Atsushi's busy with the pincers, he's going to jump onto the crab's back with a whoop, before dropkicking it down, down, down. Yeah, he's having way too much fun messing around now.]

That doesn't make it ok to just toss it about like that and hurt people!!!

[There's a crunching sound as claws pierce the hard exoskeleton of the crab, and then Atsushi's using the grip he has to yank on it. Another crunching sound, and the crab is flailing violently now, trying to get the tiger's claws out of it's arm before it loses it.]

Can you just kill it already!!!

I was tryin' to keep me and Saki from turning into pancakes!! This stupid House decided to just try and answer 'cause we wanted food by throwing it right on top of us!

[He sounds kind of irritable again but it's not as much as you'd expect because he's still kind of bouncing on the crab like it's that trampoline in the corner that's still miraculously intact. After a moment though Nora does grapple himself onto the crab's back just to have a better look at it, prodding at the carapace and then the spikes around it...]

[...]

Wait, how the hell do you kill a crab? Where's the heart?? IS there a heart?!

[He's already geared up to just. Hopefully punch through the crab somehow even if it's thicker than his arm but also. What exactly is he punching......]

And you asked for a giant crab?!

[Said as if that's the stupidest idea ever. Why not just a bucket of crabs instead of one giant homicidal one?!

Atsushi's struggling with the thing, gritting his teeth that are a little too sharp at the moment. He's glad he came out here shoeless, because for better leverage he's transforming his legs as well, digging them into grass and dirt with a grunt.]

I don't know! But I think...

[He growls, the sound a little too much on the tiger side of things for a moment before he's wrenching the thing up, Nora and all, in an attempt to flip it.]

The underside should be softer, right?!

A tiger crab!!

[Said as if it's completely obvious, which it absolutely is not, but also he has no frame of reference for whatever these crabs are supposed to be (Saki seemed surprised, but also Saki's been here for a long time, so who knows maybe she just forgot she used to eat giant homicidal crabs for breakfast), so too bad.

He's still on the crab when it flips up into the air and there's a real high yelping noise before Nora reflexively pushes off, curling up and rolling into the grass of the backyard before catching himself with an angry grumble that's pretending there was no yelp, okay.]

That was totally revenge...! Ugh, whatever, I don't care anymore! I'll just punch the whole thing-- [he says, rushing it impatiently once the crab lands on its back, but he's got sharp eyes trained on it and!] --or maybe there are weak points! TAKE THIS, STUPID CRAB!!!

[Just going for where there seems to be a gap in the armor near the tail section, he jumps up and slams his fist right down into crab innards. CRUNCHITY CRUNCH, the crab gives a couple of indignant twitches before giving up the ghost. Probably.]

It's still a giant crab!

[Are they just going to argue this entire time-- apparently.

He already assumed Nora would leap off it before he got squashed, so it's nice to know those dog like reflexes are good for something. Atsushi slams the crab into the ground, gripping it's pincers to pin it down like some bizarre furry pro wrestler.]

Can you just get on with it!!!

[He's strong enough to hold it down, but he doesn't have the best control still. He can't push his ability too far or he might not--

It's an utter relief to see Nora finally find a weak point, shoving his fist straight into the crab with a grotesque crunching sound. Atsushi holds on while the thing twitches through it's death throes, but once it's still and properly dead looking...

Well, he falls back on his butt with a wheeze, easing out of his transformation immediately. His hands are covered in weird crab goop, but that's fine for the moment while he catches his breath.]

Haaaa... Ahhh... Is everyone alright?
