As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect

For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.

However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.

Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

[Silver goes to the kitchen and LOW AND BEHOLD, what does he see???

A bucket in the sink with five whole uncooked dungeness crabs in it! The most delicious crab on the west coast.]

!! Crabs!! Look!

[he picks one up with his powers]

Oh thank goodness, they're already dead. But they're fresh!

[Nora's already sniffing curiously when they enter the kitchen because that's his habit just to check if anything's cooking or if anything delicious is on the horizon (or if somebody's been using the kitchen for weird things, INGWAY) -- so he's already perked up and making a beeline for the crabs with Silver.

Also, he immediately makes a beeline for the crab Silver's got floating there -- does it snap at him?? Either way he pulls back quick with a snicker.]

Well, what do you know, at least the House knows what a good meal looks like! How can you tell if it's fresh??

[nope! They're not snappy. They are deceased -- which is good for Silver because he's a weenie]

By the color and the smell! They still smell like the sea, don't you think?

[I can read good, but to be fair I'm trying to crabventure with a food coma, and Nora's got to check that the thing is dead. Obviously. He wrinkles his nose a little at it.]

They smell like fish and salt and stuff. That's a lot stronger than the sea.

Is this really gonna taste that good...?

[To be fair, he's probably never seen raw crab before.....]

Well, your nose is better than mine...

[but his is better than a human's, so!]

Yeah it will! Do you want to help me cook them?

Well, yeah, it's Cerberus' nose.

[What's modesty. But at least his nose isn't totally sealed smh.]

... I got no idea how to cook crab. You gotta break the shell, right?

[He's already rolling up his sleeves and cracking his knuckles please stop him from punching the crab.]

Nope! You can cook them in the shells. It's a little easier that way, I think. How about you help me out by getting that really big pot and filling it about halfway with water. Then we'll get it boiling!

[Silver says aloud to the house;] And wow, it would be super great if there were some lemons, red potatoes, corn, garlic, and all kinds of spices in the pantry.!

How's it going to cook if it's all the way in the shells?? I guess sometimes you eat it in the shell, too, but that's just weird.

[But Nora is at least happy to get to carry an oversized pot around?? It makes him feel important?? He doesn't struggle at all even when the whole thing is filled with water (he got overenthusiastic with the water, uh) and plops it happily onto the stove.

Some water splashes out.

He blinks when Silver starts talking again.]

Huh. It's seriously that convenient? Then I want... some chocolate chip cookies!

[What's waiting for dessert.]

Just trust me on this one.

[Silver is pretty sure Nora is significantly older than him... and yet he's like a little brother. You give him important-sounding tasks that are hard to mess up and he's happy as a clam.

Silver goes into the pantry and comes out with all the ingredients he asked for floating around him -- including some COOKIES]

Nice!

Whatever, I guess the proof is in the crab anyway.

[I can't believe Nora is getting little brothered by a hedgehog half his size and two years younger than him in hedgehog years vs. demon years however that math works, but then again I can. How did this happen.

He perks up all the way at the cookies and makes an immediate dive for them, he's never been good at waiting on food and so he always ends up snacking while he's waiting to eat and getting his hand smacked away. GOTTA MUNCH GOTTA MUNCH.]

Ha! I knew it couldn't mess up chocolate chip!

[Not that the House has messed up too much yet so far but I gotta get my giant crab foreshadowing in where I can.]

[it happened because Silver is smarter than you, Nora. Also he is friends with Sonic who also does things like this, to a lesser extent.

Silver levitates a blob of water out of the pot while Nora isn't looking, so there's just enough to cover the crabs, then he sets the water to boiling. Then, it's chopping his ingredients while the water gets hot. He psychically manipulates several knives at a time to get everything done at once]

So, are they good? The cookies?
