WEEK 1 MINGLE

As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect

For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.

However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.

Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

[She doesn't react to the guy's presence, not yet. She's just adding dirt to the pile.]

[Admittedly, it's pretty tedious watching her work because there's only so much he can see from where he is. So, his impatience wins out.]

...What's the significance of this?

What do you think?
merirut: (ᴄᴏʟᴅ ʙʀᴇᴡ)

[personal profile] merirut 2019-06-27 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know, which is why I'm asking.

You got no ideas, I got no answers for you.

[Ugh, is this going to have to be a guessing game!! He just frowns a little bit more before tossing out whatever first comes to mind.]

You're making a tunnel.

Sure, why not.

Humph. Why even bother answering if you're going to be so insincere about it?

I dunno. Why bother asking for an answer you don't really care about?
merirut: (ᴄᴏʟᴅ ʙʀᴇᴡ)

[personal profile] merirut 2019-06-29 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't even waste my time asking, if that was the case.

[personal profile] failsaw 2019-06-29 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
So? Why do you want to know?
merirut: (ᴄᴏʟᴅ ʙʀᴇᴡ)

Because unfortunately, independent actions affect us all here. I'd rather not be taken by surprise if someone does something to put us at a disadvantage.

Independent actions always affect everyone else.

You asked me a question and I answered. Or are you going to say that's not good enough for you?

If it was a good enough answer, I'd accept it. But clearly it isn't.
