WEEK 5 INVESTIGATION

This was....what happened every friday.
A new body to discover.
But...why was there a scream in the halls...?🗈
It echoed on and on, with the person screaming apparently never needing to stop for breath...
It was a fitting soundtrack to what they'd see today, wasn't it...?
Like what you would hear in hell itself.
So, in the end...they had to search, to find the body and find the clues that would bring them to the killer themselves in tomorrow's trial.
...What kind of horror will they find today?
What kind of death did one of their number face?
And what sort of horrible, heart-rending truth....will be the end result, at the end of this week...?

The moment Kurama goes to the second floor, A harsh smell of iron and pork hit him.]

He's smelled that before in his life. Can he pick out the direction it's coming from? Fuck he wants his real nose back.]
no subject
...actually, the closer he gets to the sauna, there's a faint...sickly sweet smell there, like the beginning stages of decomposition.]
no subject
He's going to check out the sauna.]

Well, as he opens the door, he can immediately get a big old whiff of the horrible smell - which is obviously coming from the human arm lying on the floor, looking surprisingly nicely cooked.
That is a horrible sentence and I'm sorry I wrote it.
Anyway, after that...it's easy to also see a large wooden square with knives driven through it- most of the knives are coated in slightly dry blood, as well as the floor underneath.
But beyond that...there's also a mangled mess of wires and metal trapped under it, along with...
A sphere that has seen better days. It looks like it's been dented and stabbed multiple times with knives, and the somehow still intact glass 'eye' is blank.
Wheatley is dead.]

Kurama found the kitchen knives.
Okay but no, he's going to get to work, starting with taking a closer look at that wooden square. Does it look like the knives were driven through it to hold them so someone could be multi-stabbed?]
no subject
...Also, None of these are kitchen knives. They appear to be the knives that are kept in the master bedroom.
...also, the Square itself seems to have a small loop in the middle, as if you could hang it up.]

He's also going to take a look at that mess of metal and wires. Does it look like the body Wheatley's core was using or something else?]
no subject
And yes, It does look like the body wheatley's core was using. It looks like it's been smashed under the plate at least twice.]
no subject
I thought only the goats used this thing... This is a really bad place for this sort of thing.
[He'll crouch next to ex-Wheatley where it's smashed on the floor and reach out to try and pry the board up a bit. How sticky and gross are things. I guess he's getting dirty again even if he's technically not body touching.]

Now: What else can his demon eyes spy in this mess?]

If anyone is still in here investigating they better move cuz he hits the ground by the sphere and starts pulling out wires and hook ups: his digivices' equipment.
There's gotta be an access panel somewhere..]

Most of the data still available has been hideously corrupted, but there are a few files still left. Two, in face, both of them with nonsense names. One is a video, and the other is an audio file.]
no subject
[beep beep?]
Yes, your data. It's fine.
[while AIBA is salvaging anything they can Takumi will check the files, starting with the video]
no subject
It's the image of being flung out towards the sea, though the video looks like a bad tape recorder, and there's an error message in the corner.
the point of view hits the sea and it scrambles, the image distorting before eventually going blank.]

[audio next]

On it, there's the sound of something crashing and Wheatley screaming and saying something, though it's not comprehensible, along with a hissing noise.
There's another voice - muffled at first, before a 'wheatley!' somehow makes it past the audio corrosion before the glitchy screaming starts again.
The words 'basic trap' can be heard before a sharp cry, more distorted screaming that doesn't sound like it's from wheatley and then a loud jarring thud of something colliding with the recorder.
And the file ends - just as the last bit of mainframe suddenly powers down, like a harddrive breaking down completely.]
no subject
...its hard to do through his own growing sobs. But he has to try. Wheatley held on this long to tell him this, he has to make use of it.]
no subject
There's nothing else he can pick up, though.]
no subject
That done he wipes off the salt, sniffling]
How did you get back in here buddy?
[he knows there's no answer: even the files weren't really. No more than the breath and blinking of a brain dead coma patient are. Wheatley was dead long before he got here.
Still, he gives the sphere a deep check over, just to be sure nothing else is left to note]
