It's been a long night, with the knowledge burning in your brain that one of your number has died. Even if the victim wasn't known very well, this dangerous game of Mafia was still played, and that might be the worst of all. Not only that, but the Apprentice's warning still rings heavy in your minds - especially after seeing the state of Szayel's body.

The Lady appears for once when everyone is gathered, leading you all up the stairs to the third floor, past whatever glimpses of the upper floors you might get. The room she takes you to is, frankly, extravagant. There's snacks and drinks waiting inside, along with....a new person? It's a man, and as The Lady leaves and closes the doors behind her, the man tilts his head up and speaks.

"You can call me The Captain. Since one of you have died during the game, it's your responsibility to try and vote someone out. You have six hours to talk about it, but then-"

He taps on a box on the table in front of him, labeled 'VOTES'

"-you'll have to put in your vote so someone can be punished. Not voting, well...That's a lot like not playing. And trust me - you want to play."

The man sits down at the table, leaning back and placing his feet on the table while crossing his arms.

"So get to it."

As he says that, music begins to play in the room...

There's something else. What about Granz-san? He told me that he was already a ghost, and evolved after death, and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't get.

[They've only been focusing on Snake, but Akira obviously meant that as an example.]

I think we're pretty sure he went out there on his own. And he has a weird safe in his room. His death also doesn't make any sense. I don't think Peasant is a role, but I think we should still look closer at what he was doing when he died.

... He was doing an experiment on the staff earlier that day. I think a lot of people were there. They got blood and flesh, but it was fake. He still ate the flesh, though.

[She gives a bit of a shudder because eugh, remembering that?!]

I asked the staff if they were retaliating against him for trying to get a staff member to give him pieces of themselves, and they couldn't answer properly.

...That's weird. Why wouldn't they be able to?

I wanted them to prove that they would never hurt a Guest, but they just ended up repeating that they wouldn't, and... kind of glitching. They've done it before, but...

Lying, or not telling the whole truth. Otherwise there would be no reason for glitching -- there has to be something interfering with their programming.

What was in the safe in his room?

Unfortunately, we don't know. When Yoshi checked the safe for the code, he found that there were no numbers on it whatsoever. We asked the staff to open it on the basis of it being potential evidence, but they refuse to do so without permission from him.

I'd say that he can't give permission because he's dead, but Appy-kun said that the same thing that happened to him might happen to us if we die.

[So like, maybe they just need to find Ghost Ghost.]

Failing that, we can just break it open.

Nanashi said there was something weird about the safe, so I don't know how breakable it is. But if we can track down Granz-san's sort-of-ghost...

I'd suggest against that. The staff indicated that they'll use violence on people found trespassing in someone else's room when we were kicked out.

...Well, no, that's not entirely true. They demanded that we return his key, and said that "they don't want to have to hurt us" if we don't give it to them.

I haven't seen the safe, so I don't know if it's breakable.

I don't think that's a good idea, they kept me from hitting the wall too hard - they'll probably stop any attempts of vandalism or breaking something.
