WEEK 4 - VENUS FLYTRAP

Another week dawned.

But after the events at the trial, more than a few people would have wanted for time to stop still.

In this game, even unshakable loyalties....could be broken.🗈

If that were the case, then what was stopping even more horrible crimes from happening this thursday night?
And they knew they could do nothing to stop it from happening.

...Still, they had to continue the game, until one or both of the Witches admitted defeat, or the game itself came to a close.

Yet, they also felt as if something might change. Some big reveal felt as if it was just around the corner....but for now, it seemed as if they had to play the waiting game.

No matter how awful that felt.

Alright.

1. I have cybernetic implants in my brain and spine.
2. I survived a fall from the upper mesosphere -- barely.
3. With a Chaos Emerald, I can freely move through time.

Nice try, but no. That one is true. I have a few computerized components to help streamline my design. Not really enough to call myself a "cyborg" but...

Because you... can mess up computers by putting magnets on them? .... Did you not know that?

I didn't know. I'm not really all that familiar with computers. . .

... Well. Now you know. In general, it's not a good idea to put magnets around electronic devices.

I’m going to say the Chaos Emerald, though. I bet you need more than one for time travel.

That was a pretty good challenge, though! I bet you would have stumped most other people, but I at least know there’s more than one Chaos Emerald.

Does it have to do with the movement through time? Like you can only go backwards?

No. You can go forwards and backwards. [Shadow seems a bit more cheerful now that he's at least temporarily stumped Anon, so he offers a hint;] I will tell you, it has something to do with the names of the emeralds.

... Chaos Emeralds! You just get thrown to random points in time!

[You can almost see the metaphorical pink tail wagging when the lightbulb goes on.]

More or less. It's not "random". It's sort of... where you "need" to be, not necessarily where you want to be.

No, but I'm sure if you had the ability to undo some of the more ridiculous events of the past few weeks, you would have done it and I wouldn't remember them.
