WEEK 4 - VENUS FLYTRAP

Another week dawned.

But after the events at the trial, more than a few people would have wanted for time to stop still.

In this game, even unshakable loyalties....could be broken.🗈

If that were the case, then what was stopping even more horrible crimes from happening this thursday night?
And they knew they could do nothing to stop it from happening.

...Still, they had to continue the game, until one or both of the Witches admitted defeat, or the game itself came to a close.

Yet, they also felt as if something might change. Some big reveal felt as if it was just around the corner....but for now, it seemed as if they had to play the waiting game.

No matter how awful that felt.

Yeah, that's Chesed. He runs the Welfare department back home. In short, he's a coffee addict who doesn't care about the lives of his subordinates and would rather sit and watch drinking coffee than lift a finger to save someone's life.
literalidiotball: (Don't ask mate)

1/3

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-17 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Oof... Doesn't sound too pleasant...
literalidiotball: (I meant to do that.)

2/3

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-17 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Wondering how he's even able to drink coffee. As a robot.
literalidiotball: (Well.... I'll get back to you)

3/3

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-17 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
... Actually, I'm gonna go ask him.

[And the moron walks right up to the goat-man-bot.]

Excuse me! Chesed, right? You got a moment? 'Coz I'm wondering how you manage to drink all that and not short out or anything.
literalidiotball: (Don't trust you)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-17 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
What do you mean, you're not a robot?! Your coworker just outed you as a robot!
literalidiotball: (I'm not a moron!)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-17 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
So?!

[Wow, this guy is fustrating.]

Okay, you know what. Maybe you can awnser some demon questions. Do you have any idea who summoned you here?
aleph_armed: (Gebura: Irritated)

[personal profile] aleph_armed 2019-04-17 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
We're not exactly 100% mechanical, so we can handle things like eating and drinking easily enough. He in particular has a big hole with an arrow pointing to it going "insert coffee here".
literalidiotball: (I meant to do that.)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-17 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
... Okay, one. That actually makes sense. Even if he was all robot he could just run on coffee all day. Renewable energy source. Good stuff.

And if you're telling the truth, does that explain why you look more like a not scarred human at the trials?
aleph_armed: (Gebura: Default)

[personal profile] aleph_armed 2019-04-17 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, that person is... you can call it my past life? My biological components came from her. My Cognition Filter's look is based on her, too, though obviously there are differences since it's also showing my condition.
literalidiotball: (Well.... I'll get back to you)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-18 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oooooh....

Now that you mention it... I don't know if this really applies to me personally, but I went and played through that Portal game to see what my friend was doing while I... Uh... Went a bit nuts. And there was a huge section where you had to go through the old test chambers underground. The place was like a time capsule! Narrated by the founder of Aperture Science, Cave Johnson himself!

Kind of amazing. In a sort of depressing way. Like, they were using scientists as test subjects, can you believe that?!

[He's rambling again...]
aleph_armed: (Gebura: Default)

[personal profile] aleph_armed 2019-04-18 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Scientists will use themselves as test subjects if need be, so it's not that surprising.

[She saw what happened to Elijah after that. It... Wasn't pleasant.]

What made you start thinking about that, though?
literalidiotball: (Whazat over there?)

Portal 2 Spoilers

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-18 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, obviously. I mean, they apperently ran out of olympians, astronauts, and homeless people.

[He is pretty sure he isn't remembering it wrong.]

Oh, right. Sorry. Getting back on track.

So, it turns out they figured out a way to upload someone's personality into a machine! Don't ask me the details, I don't know how they did it, but they were gonna do it to Cave. But he died, so they went and did it to his secretary...

[... Wait.]
aleph_armed: (Gebura: Concerned)

[personal profile] aleph_armed 2019-04-18 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
...It seems like you figured something out.

He has a coffee hole a little above what you see as the right knee.
clearumbrella: mask, ? (so it won't hurt)

[personal profile] clearumbrella 2019-04-18 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
Is it unusual for a robot to eat and drink without problems?
literalidiotball: (I meant to do that.)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-18 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Uh. Yes?!

Like, does it look like I have a mouth- Or anywhere to put food, now that Gebura pointed out the coffee hole on the other bloke.
clearumbrella: mask, attention grabbed, surprised (oh is it true?)

[personal profile] clearumbrella 2019-04-20 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Eh? You don't? [ He steps much, much closer and inspects Wheatley for a bit. ] Uwah...!! It's true! You really don't!
literalidiotball: (Ah... One problem)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-21 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Awkward. Blink.]

Yeah. I really don't have one. At all. Thought it would be obvious or something.
clearumbrella: mask, happy (is this where i belong?)

[personal profile] clearumbrella 2019-04-21 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Even though I have one...

[ Hmm... Then, abruptly: ] Wheatley-san! Could I feel your face to make sure?
literalidiotball: (I meant to do that.)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-21 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Huh? No! I don't- You don't need to, it's as clear as day! See?

[He spins the exterior of his head a bit, so Clear can see there is nothing similar to a mouth hidden in his hardware. It's a bit difficult with how he's mounted to his neck, but it should be obvious.]

No mouth! Just internal speakers...

And what do you mean, "you have one?" All humans have them! That's obvious too!
clearumbrella: mask, neutral (Default)

[personal profile] clearumbrella 2019-04-21 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Ehh?? But wouldn't it be better if I made sure? What if your mouth is hidden? Like a secret compartment!

[ At the mention of humans having mouths, he pauses and casually puts his hands into his pockets. ]

They do, but... Wheatley-san, I'm not human.
literalidiotball: (I meant to do that.)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-21 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
No thanks! You don't have to do that!

[... Wait, now that peaks Wheatley's interest.]

You're not human? But you look human enough...?
clearumbrella: mask, neutral (Default)

[personal profile] clearumbrella 2019-04-21 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
Are you sure?

[ Kinda sounds like he's pouting there. But he moves on and nods his head before leaning in close. The next words out of his mouth are said in a hushed whisper...! ]

Yes, I was made that way.
