WEEK 4 - VENUS FLYTRAP

Another week dawned.

But after the events at the trial, more than a few people would have wanted for time to stop still.

In this game, even unshakable loyalties....could be broken.🗈

If that were the case, then what was stopping even more horrible crimes from happening this thursday night?
And they knew they could do nothing to stop it from happening.

...Still, they had to continue the game, until one or both of the Witches admitted defeat, or the game itself came to a close.

Yet, they also felt as if something might change. Some big reveal felt as if it was just around the corner....but for now, it seemed as if they had to play the waiting game.

No matter how awful that felt.

We're not exactly 100% mechanical, so we can handle things like eating and drinking easily enough. He in particular has a big hole with an arrow pointing to it going "insert coffee here".
literalidiotball: (I meant to do that.)

... Okay, one. That actually makes sense. Even if he was all robot he could just run on coffee all day. Renewable energy source. Good stuff.

And if you're telling the truth, does that explain why you look more like a not scarred human at the trials?

Ah, that person is... you can call it my past life? My biological components came from her. My Cognition Filter's look is based on her, too, though obviously there are differences since it's also showing my condition.
literalidiotball: (Well.... I'll get back to you)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-18 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oooooh....

Now that you mention it... I don't know if this really applies to me personally, but I went and played through that Portal game to see what my friend was doing while I... Uh... Went a bit nuts. And there was a huge section where you had to go through the old test chambers underground. The place was like a time capsule! Narrated by the founder of Aperture Science, Cave Johnson himself!

Kind of amazing. In a sort of depressing way. Like, they were using scientists as test subjects, can you believe that?!

[He's rambling again...]

Scientists will use themselves as test subjects if need be, so it's not that surprising.

[She saw what happened to Elijah after that. It... Wasn't pleasant.]

What made you start thinking about that, though?
literalidiotball: (Whazat over there?)

Portal 2 Spoilers

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-18 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, obviously. I mean, they apperently ran out of olympians, astronauts, and homeless people.

[He is pretty sure he isn't remembering it wrong.]

Oh, right. Sorry. Getting back on track.

So, it turns out they figured out a way to upload someone's personality into a machine! Don't ask me the details, I don't know how they did it, but they were gonna do it to Cave. But he died, so they went and did it to his secretary...

[... Wait.]

...It seems like you figured something out.
literalidiotball: (I meant to do that.)

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2019-04-18 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
...

I think?

[Said like someone who doesn't know what to do with a sudden revelation from explaining.]

... I doubt it has anything to do with all of... This, then. So...

[personal profile] aleph_armed 2019-04-18 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
We can put it aside for some other time, yeah.

Still, if you want to talk about it, I'll listen.

[No guarantees for anything else, but she'll listen.]

Alright, got it.
