WEEK 4 - VENUS FLYTRAP
Another week dawned.
But after the events at the trial, more than a few people would have wanted for time to stop still.
In this game, even unshakable loyalties....could be broken.π

If that were the case, then what was stopping even more horrible crimes from happening this thursday night?
And they knew they could do nothing to stop it from happening.
...Still, they had to continue the game, until one or both of the Witches admitted defeat, or the game itself came to a close.
Yet, they also felt as if something might change. Some big reveal felt as if it was just around the corner....but for now, it seemed as if they had to play the waiting game.
No matter how awful that felt.

She must have been really mad. What happened after that?

[ .... ]
He gave me this strange look. Like...he felt more human than he has before. I don't know how to describe it, but he didn't look like a witch at that moment.
no subject
Is that why she was mad? He was more human?
[ Since she seems to have a lot of STRONG OPINIONS on the weakness of being a human. ]
no subject
[ she shrugs ]
She told him "it doesn't have to be like this." If he was a Witch, he could do anything he wants, and that they could play games together for centuries...and he--asked me what he should do. [ with his eyes, but details ]
I said...if he wanted to go with her, I couldn't do anything to stop him, but he shouldn't allow her to force him into a decision he didn't really want. To remember how mad he was that she stole Yuuko-san's face, if he really wanted to spend all that time with someone who did that to someone he loved.
So he refused.

And then something terrible happened?
[The trembling of her hands didn't suggest this vision had a happy ending]

[His expression went distant, as if there's something he could understand about that sentiment]
Do you... remember anything else, even the slightest thing?
no subject
[ she drums her fingers on the table, trying to think ]
Nirrti-san said that Watanuki-san's "time had started once more" before she killed him--do you know what that means? Is it that witches don't age...?
And when he died, his body sort of crumbled and blew away into the air.
[ witch bullshit again, she's guessing ]

[ hi Syaoran recognizes that term of phrase ]
no subject
Yes. What does it mean?

He might have been inching towards death, when he's been in that shop by himself for so long.

For Yuuko-san, she. . . was probably a witch even before her time was frozen. And Kimihiro's time was frozen even before he became a proper witch as well, I'm fairly certain. It wasn't that Yuuko-san stopped being a witch. She needed to start her time again, to stop the wish of keeping her alive forever. Because everyone has to die at some point, after all. Even witches as well.
In spite of their longevity.

[He hums, all of this is just deeply confusing to him because what even are Witches and magic. He can roll with a lot but it gets so weirdly complicated sometimes.]
Why does everyone have to die at some point, anyway? Especially if you could just keep going, like a Witch can.
[This seems like a real question?? What even is mortality.]

[. . .]
It's the natural cycle of the universe. Memento mori.

I think you did the right thing. I know it's just a dream, but you tried to help him. You're really strong!
[ Good job, girl. ]
Bet she didn't like being told no, huh?
no subject
[ she definitely doesn't feel strong ]
She didn't. When he refused, she killed him. It was strange. She looked...genuinely sad that he said no.
And then she--called up these vines, to trap everyone, and started screaming at us, about how his life as a witch was so promising, and we wasted it by "making him think that we matter" because "he threw it away for us."
no subject
[ Does he need to give speeches and stuff. He will. ]
That sounds nuts though... It sounds like if he picks his humanity or if she loses, then it'll be bad for him and everyone else...
[ It's pretty sad :< ]
no subject
It...gets worse. [ ............. ] She said that if he was gone there was no one to protect us anymore. So she...she wanted us to suffer. To put us on the verge of death but not let us die, and I--
[ .............. ]
It felt so real. Like she really was going to kill me.
no subject
Hey, it's okay. We can change things to make sure that doesn't happen.
no subject
I used to be the sort of person who wasn't afraid to die whenever it came. So why did that change, now of all times...?
[ .... ]
I'm sorry, I--I'm rambling. I just...found it helped me more to not expect the best case scenario to ever happen, so I'm having a hard time believing it now.
no subject
If it was just me here, I would have let him pick his humanity despite what happens to me... but I know there's people here I want to protect. So I want to find the best case scenario for everyone here.
