Finally, the whole truth of this affair had come out.

The Witch they had known as Yuuko was actually Nirrti, the Witch of Misfortune.
And Watanuki was actually the real Witch of Dimensions, as the two of them fought over the power that title brought, as well as the name and identity of a long dead woman...🗈

Though things had finally changed, perhaps it wouldn't be for the better. Nirrti herself seemed much different than how she was before, and Watanuki was the one who had brought all of them here...with that in mind, it was hard to tell how their future would shake out...

However, it wasn't all bad. A few more places were open to them, the second floor becoming a much more inviting place to be, and there was still everything they had gotten used to before. And now, they all knew that Nirrti's promises were nothing but empty air...

...or, perhaps, now they would merely change.

But she's visibly turning more uncomfortable with every word. She can't recall anything about why she took the job more than just vague details]

They say work is slavery, but I don't think they meant it like this. [ He is just fine being incredibly vague and rude in her direction. It's part just being a jerk, part trying to see if he can elicit any type of reaction from the old Makoto. ]

[Sometimes it seems like the old her is there, sometimes it's like she's not. The only she's there, even if it's faintly, is that she puts a hand on the cane she's carrying with her, like she needed something to grip. It's a familiar gesture, at least]

[Something about the comment seems to amuse her. She laughs a bit, light and carefree. Teenagers, so dramatic, haha!]

Is it because you don't like working, or because you don't like her?

Both. But I don't dislike her, I hate her.

That's a rather strong feeling towards someone who invited you to stay here for a while...

[Tateyama seems at a loss of how to reply. Not inviting properly would be incredibly rude, indeed. But it's her mistress, and she likes her and she doesn't want to speak ill of her, so...

It actually takes her several seconds to reply]

[Evade the conflict by conceding without saying any condemnation about the mistress. That may be the way to handle this]
