WEEK 3 - NIGHTSHADE
Finally, the whole truth of this affair had come out.
The Witch they had known as Yuuko was actually Nirrti, the Witch of Misfortune.
And Watanuki was actually the real Witch of Dimensions, as the two of them fought over the power that title brought, as well as the name and identity of a long dead woman...🗈

And Watanuki was actually the real Witch of Dimensions, as the two of them fought over the power that title brought, as well as the name and identity of a long dead woman...🗈
Though things had finally changed, perhaps it wouldn't be for the better. Nirrti herself seemed much different than how she was before, and Watanuki was the one who had brought all of them here...with that in mind, it was hard to tell how their future would shake out...
However, it wasn't all bad. A few more places were open to them, the second floor becoming a much more inviting place to be, and there was still everything they had gotten used to before. And now, they all knew that Nirrti's promises were nothing but empty air...
...or, perhaps, now they would merely change.

Yeah...I was really trying to catch people out about it, but then the second trial happened and I realized that I'm more concerned with as many people as possible getting out of here than figuring out who did it.
Also, I thought Watanuki was a little suspicious, but he was dead and then it turned out he was suspicious for totally different reasons. Which is good, because he's a nice guy!

You're right about that, though. Kimihiro is a nice person. He isn't pretending or anything like that.

[Ahem.]
Anyway, though, the point is that a sufficiently determined person can get into whatever room here no matter how we seal it up. So, that got me thinking: booby traps.

[ His words are firm and serious, but they soon immediately swap back to their original topic. ]
You mean like something that could get onto the culprit in case something actually happened to them? So it would be easier to catch who the killer is? I know Takumi was talking about that, too.

[She shuffles some papers, showing doodled trap designs.]
It wouldn't be hard to cover someone in paint with an open can and some rope, but I haven't asked for that yet. Rigging up some of the fertilizer or pesticide from the garden shed in the same way would hurt and leave a mark, but everything I've come up with so far can be washed off.

[ He peers at that with quite a bit of curiosity and interest. ]
Even if they can be washed off, we might be able to tell, right? If they smell clean. Or if they're wearing something different from normal. We can check people's rooms, after all, so they might not have enough time to actually clean their clothes. They might burn their clothes, though.

If there was something that just like...stains skin? Or does something else permanent. I mean the kid in the movie that gave me this idea used a blowtorch on an intruder, but I'm 90% sure that would just kill someone in real life.
no subject
[ Since it might be important. ]
It might be difficult to do something permanent that wouldn't actually hurt someone...

Maybe something that will make someone have a distinct scent?

You know, that's one of those things that seems obvious until you think about it. Models are usually on camera or on stage, so they might not need or want to wear any fancy scents. She might have some anyway, though.
