WEEK 2 MINGLE - ARTEMISIA

Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.

The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.

Was this....how the rest of the game was going to go...?🗈

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.

Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?

Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.

But even if things look bleak...

They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.

And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

The idea is that you and a friend make matching ones, so that you can both wear them as a sign of friendship.

Two bracelets, huh? Maybe if we try real hard, or they're simple bracelets.

[He gives that another moment or two of thought. It appears to be a new concept to him, since he's chewing it over rather seriously.]

So hey, if you lose one, you stop being friends, right?
foundfate: (...eh?)

Simple would be best, probably. We need to make one for Syaoran too.

[THAT LAST QUESTION THOUGH...]

No? Losing one on accident doesn't make you stop being friends. It just means you and your friend get to make another set.

If you want to stop being friends, you have to give the bracelet back to the other person.
anonnomnomnom: (What a moron.)

One for Syaoran. I've got it.

[He nods very diligently and starts sorting the shells into three piles instead.

There's a brief pause to cock his head at Watanuki, a bemused smile making its way across his face.]

It just seems funny to stick your friendship into something like this. It's a pretty trinket, but it's pretty breakable, isn't it?

But I guess if that's how it works, we'll go with that!

Well you're not really putting the friendship inside of it. It's more like a way to show it? The friendship is still inside of you.
anonnomnomnom: (Wait I only have one gun.)

Ah, that's too bad... I was hoping I'd get to see it in action!

[What is he even talking about at this point.

Anon's finished sorting out the shells and now he's just looking around for bracelet materials. Given that they've just got cake and a zillion people here that might be a little hard, but he doesn't seem deterred. He just hums as he starts looking under the table.]

Back home, you know, there are ways to manifest all kinds of things depending on your will. That's how some of the weapons work.

Well, I don't think friendship would be a very good weapon, anyway. But I bet someone would still try to use it.
foundfate: (huh?)

Are you kidding? Friendship is an excellent weapon! The desire to protect your friends is enough to push forward and win a fight even when all hope seems lost.

[Or at least that is what his shounen mangas tell him.]
anonnomnomnom: (My what a nice sword you have.)

[He just shakes his head with seemingly great patience, just missing banging it on the table as he gets up again. At some point in his search he's coming up with some bits of string, who knows, maybe they're from the tablecloth. They're going full DIY for this.]

Friendship definitely isn't a real weapon! At least, I've never seen someone use it successfully for anything useful. Also, that sounds kind of lame, doesn't it?

[He's literally from a shounen manga but listen, he's allowed to be a skeptic. At least it sounds more like he's messing around. For the most part.]
