Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.

The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.

Was this....how the rest of the game was going to go...?🗈

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.

Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?

Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.

But even if things look bleak...

They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.

And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

[ Pulling out his phone with his free hand, because its actually nice to keep touching Riku.

Riku will probably see the lock screen, which might give him even more reasons to think too deeply into this maybe. Sliding it open and getting to his tunes. He'll hold it over for Riku to see a huge collection of Disney songs. ]

I can now play Let It Go all I want!

[ He'll just snap his mouth shut, if anything the ridiculousness of the picture is enough to be maybe...a confirmation?? Or maybe it's Sora just being Sora.

He's seen weirder on the internet but he's holding the bridge of his nose for a moment...why this. ]

Right. Well, I don't think I have as many Disney songs on my phone, so how about you send some over to mine?

When will Riku get any kind of peace? If Sora is aware Riku was reacting to the image, he's not saying anything. ]

Let me see your phone and I'll send them over!

[ Letting him go to hold out his hand. Phone please. ]

[ He's going to hand over the phone without so much as any hesitation. ]

Here you go. Careful not to open too many apps by accident.

[ So, guess who forgot this was on his lockscreen...? ]

[ Just going to go beet red for a moment at that because that's... that's him with a paopu fruit. Maybe...maybe it's because it's nice art? Sora has so much art of Riku and Kairi saved on his computer and phone. So it has to be that...

Oh. Oh yeah, he's doing something. Just going to input the password quick and hope that Riku didn't notice anything.

He manages to link up the phones without much issues. Sending the files over! ]

Hey! I'm getting better...

[ Riku, of course, notices Sora's reddening cheeks...

...but doesn't notice he saw the picture on his lockscreen. He'll connect the dots sooner than later, however. ]

Yeah, no doubt about that. Sure took you awhile, though.

[ But hey, they're also probably in front of his door right now, so he's opening his door while those files are downloading. ]

[ Just going to push him with an elbow since his hands are full. ]

Not my fault that hitting it doesn't work.

[ They need to have that as an option. Whack a thing to get it to do stuff. He'll pocket his own phone, while he waits for Riku to open the door. Let's just take a selfie real quick of making a face with Riku's phone while he's not looking. ]

[ He's nudged, and just lightly nudges him back this time. ]

And that's why you had so much trouble in the first place.

[ That sure is the sound of the phone's camera going off...and he turns around to face Sora after he reaches his bed. ]

...You just took a picture, didn't you?

[ He's just an island boy who likes things simple okay.

Giving a grin that pretty much answers the picture question. And he's busy messing around with something. ]

I don't know what you're talking about.

[ Have that as your new background though. ]

[ He'll reach for the fruit finally, though and turn to face Sora, holding out his hand for his phone to be given back. ]

Alright, time to hand it over. Don't want you doing too much to it.

[ Just in time, before Sora can change alarms and ringtones. Oh well. There's a pause as he clicks the phone to bring it back to the lock screen. And then he's handing it over with a smile. ]

I'll just wait until you're asleep then.

[ Already wondering if he's going to eat pillow one of these mornings for changing any alarms to It's a Small World. ]

Try it and see what happens.

[ Saying it in a vaguely playful manner as he takes back the phone...

... he squints at it after he undoes the lock screen. Because there is Sora in good form after taking that selfie... ]

...Sora.

[ Pointedly!! ]

Maybe I will!

[ and hey, he wasn't supposed to see it yet! Putting a hand over the screen to try to hide what he did.

Then he'll snag the fruit from Riku. ]

Think we should break it in half?

[rikuchi]

You'll regret it.

[ Bring it, Sora. ]

...Sure, we could do that. Or we just take a bite out of it, or something.

[ He gives a bit of a shrug.

...Though, he supposed one of them taking a bite out of it right after the other could be seen as romantic? Or...would it just look silly?

These are thoughts that are seriously floating around in his head. ]

[ Will he?

Yeah he probably will, but it'll be worth it as long as he doesn't get distracted by someone's pretty face. ]

Yeah, that would be easier...[ hm ] Oh! We could try biting it at the same time.

[ He's going to regret this isn't he ]

[ WELL THEN... ]

Then, let's go for it.

[ He's willing to give it a go, at least. ]

On the count of 1, 2, 3...go!

[ This is literally the stupidest looking thing he's probably done in a while as he leans over to try to bite a piece of the fruit in Sora's hands... ]

[ He'll lean in to take a bite on whatever fruit limb is closest to him. Biting when as he says go.

Also looking up as soon as he tastes the fruit to realize just how close Riku is. Yeah, this is definitely dumb and a mistake. But it tastes just like a Paopu Fruit does.

And he can feel his heart racing as he doesn't move for a moment. Ignoring the juice he can feel running down his chin as he leans back to finish the piece. You know, there's a moment where it's tempting to just...

No. He can't do that. But his cheeks do heat up. What are words? ]

[rikuchi]

[ Very tempting, isn't it?

Riku's watching Sora's face carefully, his eyes following the movement for a moment, and...

He's smiling, even if his own cheeks are warm. ]

Sora, I'm glad I had a chance to share this with you. You feel the same, don't you?

[ And then he'll leave it at that for now as he leans forward to take another bite of the fruit. ]

[ It is.

He'll keep holding the fruit, watching Riku take another bite, before finally looking away feeling very sheepish. Wiping the juice off his face as he gives a smile. ]

Yeah, I do. There's no one else I'd rather share it with, Riku.
