Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.

The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.

Was this....how the rest of the game was going to go...?🗈

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.

Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?

Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.

But even if things look bleak...

They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.

And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

I should keep it in mind, too. I think cake could solve a lot of our problems.

[That is probably not serious, though there's a twinkle in his eye as he definitively eyes the cake and starts moseying closer to it. It is very likely that he will consume more than a little of it. He is the great Cakemaster, after all.

Whether Sora has seen him at actual cake duty is a matter for debate, but it's probably pretty notorious.]

[He serves himself a biiiig piece, but it's not the whole cake, so they're doing good here. And he very decorously puts it on a plate and uses a fork, so he at least knows how to consume cake outside of whatever the hell happens on cake duty.

There are probably a lot of traumatized agents turned off of cake for a while out there.

Well, we haven't been able to do too much about the Game even with all the cooks here. But it's still pretty good for morale. You can show me how to make one of these cakes, and I'll be ready next time!
