Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.

The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.

Was this....how the rest of the game was going to go...?🗈

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.

Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?

Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.

But even if things look bleak...

They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.

And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

[He sees that laughing! That's probably laughing, which probably means his gift was well-received. Anon gives a little clap of satisfaction and waits semi-patiently for Akira's return. He's about to pout a little about the fish not getting cooked right away -- it'll get terribly smelly in here -- but then he's distracted.

Akira gets a couple blinks in confusion. He looks around.]

It's an ocean reference. The ocean has sand all around and under it. You keep reminding me of the ocean.

[ Now he's just. Wrapping some of the fish up so it can be stored for cleaning and then cooking later??? ]

Anon seems at least sufficiently distracted by the new nickname. He looks like he's turning it over very hard, or perhaps just--]

Mmm, I guess I don't mind being the ocean. Sandy sounds kind of funny, though. I'll have to come up with something just as funny!

[Decision deferred to goat day, because we'd like to maximize dunking on Akira, because why not.]

Seaweed? Firegrass? Moppertopper? Mmm, none of those seem quite right.

[Though Seaweed is a strong contender, judging by the emphasis he put on it. He hums a little more and then points semi-dramatically at him.]

I'm going to have to think about it some more. You're a hard one to pin down!
