MOCK ROUND - WEEK 1 INVESTIGATION

It had almost been a week since everyone had been brought here.
The days had gone by with no hint of trouble, not from the Witch, or any of her servants. It almost seemed like nothing would happen after all.

Yet, as everyone woke up...something felt different.
It felt...like they were about to take a step into the darkness.🗈

Like they were going to see something that shouldn't be seen....or feel something that shouldn't be felt.

This....was a fake game, right...? Then why....was there this ominous feeling? Like something nearby was just...waiting for them to stumble the right way, bringing them closer to it's hungry mouth...

...

No matter what it is, though, they had to step forward.

They had....to finally, truly start this game.

Takashi is standing next to Asuma and Vantias, who are hunched over the body and...]

[ Jack hears that... but is trying not to think of that. Let's investigate ]

[he sure is still covered in Riku bits]

[He's shaking his head and following Jack. It's hard to argue with that when you had to dig up a whole graveyard to find a dead man's name in the past.]

[She's finally arrived (through the opening where the door used to be, rather than the window, like a civilized person), dragging her sword with her to have a look at the scene of the crime. She stops briefly by where Riku's corpse is situated, a little at a remove so as not to disturb those currently going over it.]

... It's too bad. I expected you to do better, but I suppose you weren't interested in playing, anyway.

[Next is Takashi, and she wrinkles her nose once she gets a look at him.]

You made a mess.

Think it'd be suspect if I showered before this 'trial'?

I think you would be suspect regardless.

But somehow, I think you would be suspected faster on account of the smell.

[He gives a bark of laughter, wiping his gorey hands on his suit jacket]

[Her frown gets more pronounced, but he's basically just rolling around in the mess. She doesn't bother commenting at this point.]

I don't see a point in talking around it. It is what we are here for.
