MOCK ROUND - WEEK 1 INVESTIGATION

It had almost been a week since everyone had been brought here.
The days had gone by with no hint of trouble, not from the Witch, or any of her servants. It almost seemed like nothing would happen after all.

Yet, as everyone woke up...something felt different.
It felt...like they were about to take a step into the darkness.🗈

Like they were going to see something that shouldn't be seen....or feel something that shouldn't be felt.

This....was a fake game, right...? Then why....was there this ominous feeling? Like something nearby was just...waiting for them to stumble the right way, bringing them closer to it's hungry mouth...

...

No matter what it is, though, they had to step forward.

They had....to finally, truly start this game.

[He really doesn't want to, actually. Really, he doesn't even know what to look for.

Quite pale by now, he glances around the room. Takashi's still investigating, so...]

Hey, Vanitas?

[His voice is much weaker, but then again, he's trying awful hard not to be sick right now.]

Do you think you could take a look...?

[ He's staring at the door frame a moment, and then glancing over his shoulder in the direction of the door. ]

[ There's a blink when he's called over there, but then he just kind of shrugs. ]

Sure, I guess.

[ Well, guess he's crouching down by a body now??? ]

At which part, exactly?

The stomach?

He was shot in the head... but there's something over his stomach, too. Isn't that supposed to be a vulnerable place?

[ Well, that works. He leans forward, gaze moving over the stomach...

Though, after a moment, he's yanking the shirt up to make it easier to look. This is a weird injury, right? And, he's definitely no detective, here, so let's just go wiiiith...

How big or small is it? ]

[It's decently big - and as the shirt is yanked, it's easier to see it's kind of...circular? but in a very odd way.]

[ He's just kind of frowning hard at it, honestly. He's not exactly an expert on this kind of thing. ]

Weird...

[ Circular in a way... remotely similar to the wound on Riku's head? ]

Though it could also be a match for one of those creepy stakes in the master bedroom...]

[ He actually didn't get a close look at the stakes, and so there's a frown at the hole...

Actually, he's looking to the injury on Riku's chest next.

How do they compare? Is it weird in a similar way to the wound on Riku's midsection? ]

[They're basically the same kind of wound, with the same weird circular hole that gets thinner and long at the sides.]

[ He's propping his chin on one hand as he just stays crouched there for a moment, gaze resting thoughtfully on Riku's face. ]


Is there even anyone here who could actually tell what made these.

[ Casually gesturing at the chest and midsection wound. ]

What, you don't have a guess?

Something strong enough to pierce, obviously. All I've seen around here are guns and kitchen knives, but I don't exactly have experience with using those kinds of things as weapons.

He feels something hard at the bottom of the wound, which is a little deeper than one would think.]

Anyway, it comes away with more awful wet flesh noises, and -

It's a bullet. The same kind as the one he dug out of Riku's head.]

[You should expect thus by now. He'll try the gut wound too, but will be satisfied just feeling the bullet]
