FINAL TRIAL

After a very, very long six weeks, it has finally come. The last time everyone will need to trudge up those stairs and meet in the master suite. It's do or die time, and hopefully everyone knows what needs to be done by now.
As soon as the guests walk into the room, they will be able to smell the food that the chef has provided: duck l'orange, served up on a nice platter. Eat up everyone!
There are a few unexpected guests this time. A large group of the rats is here, and they show up in a swarm as they carry Gabe into the room, much like how they had carted him off to the Child Daycare last night. Once he is deposited in the room, Gabe will also stand up and remain there, crossing his arm and looking a bit standoffish.
They're not the only unexpected faces around here, though...

Freedom sounds nice, tempting even. But, not like this. ]
It's nice that you seem to actually care. I'll have to just say thanks but no, though.
[ ... Not to mention he has people he cares about - he can't protect them if he's stuck here, and there are things he wants to change.
Roxas also knows sitting around in a place like this can just mean the Foundation comes and fucks it up again. ]

Got any plans, kid?

[ He'll look Snake - or should that be David - right in the eyes. ]
I want to fight back the best way I know how. And I don't think it's going to be from the inside [ So, he's plan on doing things the hard way. ] What're you planning on doing?
[ He's heard some back and forth, so... ]

Looks like we both had the same idea.
[And he can't help but sound a little fond at that.]
I'm not going to let the Foundation use me again. If I'm going to fight, it's going to be for what I believe in.
[And, as it turns out, that leads him right to trying to take them down.]
I won't be doing it alone, though. Ripley won't let me...and I don't think I'd want to, either.

I'm glad we did.
[ Someone needs to try to kick their butts the old-fashioned way... ]
...And I know I won't be alone, either, because I know that Vanitas will want to get back at them too. [ They're inseparable now... ] If we're going to be up to doing the same kind of thing, though, we should probably do our best to stay in touch.

[Said with a touch of amusement, but he's just glad for the kid to find someone he can trust. As for Vanitas, he's sure Roxas can bring out the better in him.]
We'll be hanging here for a while until we get a plan together, no point wasting a good safe house. First thing will be establishing a line of communications, for each other and those on the inside.
[They're pretty much starting from scratch, after all. He raises an eyebrow to Roxas.]
If you're in no rush, we could set something up.
[But he won't blame him for wanting to get out of here ASAP.]

[ Roxas' smile will turn into something more...fond, and with the way his voice kind of softly intones there, it's probably easy to guess how much of an important person Vanitas has become to him.
Then, at the rest, his expression turns to something more considering, and then he rubs the back of his head. ]
...Actually, I think it'd be a good idea to stick around long enough so we could set things up. As much as I really hate this place...and a lot of things about it, it'd be kind of silly not to take advantage of it.
