TRIAL

After a very, very long six weeks, it has finally come. The last time everyone will need to trudge up those stairs and meet in the master suite. It's do or die time, and hopefully everyone knows what needs to be done by now.

As soon as the guests walk into the room, they will be able to smell the food that the chef has provided: duck l'orange, served up on a nice platter. Eat up everyone!

There are a few unexpected guests this time. A large group of the rats is here, and they show up in a swarm as they carry Gabe into the room, much like how they had carted him off to the Child Daycare last night. Once he is deposited in the room, Gabe will also stand up and remain there, crossing his arm and looking a bit standoffish.

They're not the only unexpected faces around here, though...

[WELL!! Ryoga nearly stole his body, but it's fine. It's all good. The mannequin-like gigai dressed in the pink parka from their memories stands and its features shift to resemble Szayel. Pink light at its side manifests into a sword as if from nothing. His skin bubbles around his eyes before solidifying into his mask fragments -- his glasses.

Szayel, now back in a physical body for the first time in a month, stretches and looks uncomfortable for a moment, rolling his neck and popping his shoulders]

Ah.... Eugh. A snug fit... [he pats his clothing] But my coat! It wasn't ruined!! [HOORAY!]

[he grins, pleased with it]

I had feared it lost when the Jorogumo wrapped it in silk. [so soft....

He grins at Tsumugi]

Ah... what of my cape though, Miss Tsumugi~?

Ah! Give me a minute!

[Tsumugi disappears from the room as she heads back to hers. She returns quickly with a perfect replica of his cape.]

This was a good way to spend the final week here, I think!

I would say we turned a near disaster into a resounding success. You all managed to snatch victory from the crushing jaws of defeat. I'm.... impressed.

I'm pretty sure the Hotel would give you a lot of outfits, if you really wanted them.

As constricting as gigais are, it would be quite irritating to have to communicate through text entirely!

I always wondered how they knew so much about us. They could tell Guests at a glance somehow, and everything.

Can't you just get rid of the hollow stuff all-together? I don't really need that part.

In fact we can get rid of the shadows too, they're more trouble than they're worth.

Afraid not. Once the process of Hollowfication has been started, it cannot be reversed. As for whatever Moira did to you... well, you'd have to ask her about that, won't you? I will be having words with her, as well. Several of them.

At least don't give me a nightmare-body. That's all I'm asking here. I like the body I already have.
