Normally, you're all woken on friday morning, bright and early to see which one of you have died.

Not so much this morning, as the sound of A massive explosion from the third floor jolts all of you awake at around 2am.

[She looks like she’s just rolled out of bed but she’s definitely here, hurrying over to try and defuse everything that can be defused because it sure looks like something went off in the chapel.]

[He doesn't realize it, but there's some minor tension in him that disappeared when he sees she's here]

[ After tossing Cinque Kohaku sees Aoi and for a moment relief is evident on his face. It's gone in the blink of an eye and replaced with more anger.]

You're an unreliable little shit, did anyone ever tell you that? Don't fucking do this again.

[She stops walking for a moment, like his words are a physical block, and bows her head briefly.]

... Yeah. I know. I am sorry, Kohaku-kun.

[She does sound contrite, if more tired than anything. They have a whole body investigation ahead of them still. Well. The bodies aren't especially whole, but they still have to do it.]

[ He kind of wishes she would fight back, argue with him. Even if there's no way her arguments would ever convince him, it'd be nice to know she has them. Of course, Kohaku should have known better than to look to a teenage girl for strength, but still... ]

[She messed up. She's messed up worse than this in the past, and she's told herself she would learn from it -- and there are a lot of ways to make mistakes here. She just isn't used to dragging other people into hers.

Her head does come up, though.]

We've both been lucky this time. [she is glad to see him, all other things aside, especially with the explosion still ringing in their ears] It's the same as all the other weeks.

[Because, you know, she actually stayed with Cinque every week so far. Oops.]

[ Cinque is dangerous, but does Aoi care? Nooo, of course not. ]

Is this some bullshit idea of being able to stop her from killing or do you genuinely trust that girl?

[She meets his eye now, gaze steady.]

I'm not more powerful than the rules of the game. And it's impossible to completely trust the mafia. But I don't think it changes much, whether we stay with them or not, and I'd rather keep an eye on her anyway.

[She doesn't think of the mafia as an enemy anymore; but you should still keep erstwhile enemies closer.]

[ Since that is the one known way of killing they've seen with Cinque. He doesn't doubt Doppel could get more creative than that, this is just the easiest example. ]

[She's steadfast on this.

Of course she would fight if the mafia came for her. There have been struggles from the victims; they haven't been ambushed in their sleep, in several cases. But at the same time... there are fewer opportunities for them to be ambushed now, now that the mafia are both known.
