WEEK 5 SLEEPOVER(???)

[ Maybe you're just walking into the Soft Room, minding your own business, ignoring the laughter, when... suddenly a pillow to the fucking face. If late enough in, it won't be clear who's started the mayhem. But there are a lot of pillows, so grab one and dive in???

Alternatively, the person got to see who started the whole mess: Vanitas smacking Roxas, one of them smacking the next person to walk in, said other person attacking their friend...

Later on, comes the actual sleepover part... when everyone is too tired to bother moving. And, well... we haven't properly had one of those in two weeks, now!

[ Kohaku's come around to... well, tolerating Cinque's presence at meetings. Not that he has much of a choice when the popular opinion is largely on her side.

But this... gets a narrowing of eyes. ]

If something happens to her, you're dead. Not once, but twice over. Just keep that in mind.

[ It's good that he cares, but the idea that she'd hurt Aoi makes her mad.

So she'll touch Aoi, while giving him a look. ]

I love Blueski and wouldn't let anything happen to her.

[ This is... very odd to watch. For a flash of a second, Cinque reminds Kohaku of someone else entirely, someone from his own world. Possessive and playful and angry and violent... Hm. ]

Words don't mean shit anymore and you know it. You're a killer, no matter how much nonsense you spout later, sweetie.

[whirlingmace]

[ Maybe it's the mimic, but she wants to argue or throw his words back. ]

I never said that I wasn't.

[ Sticking her tongue out. ]

[It's even odder when you're in the middle of this, Aoi can definitely attest to this?? She did not think she'd be in the middle of a problem like this (again), but then again she never thought she'd be dealing personally with the mafia outside of murder things, either.

Lots of things have changed, but apparently some things stay the same...? This has gotten a little more hostile and a little more awkward and embarrassing all at once. There's a little sigh on her part.]

... It's okay, Kohaku-kun. It's just talking. We still have plenty of time.

[ Kohaku's fists tighten at his side and it's plain to see that he's putting a lot of effort into holding back from physically prying Cinque off Aoi. ]

How can you trust her with that after all that happened?

[ She sees that, and in response, moves her hand to place on her back. She wants to point out it's because Aoi isn't stupid.

But she also knows things aren't the same. There will always be this gap there between her and Aoi and it hurts a lot. Pointedly not looking at Aoi as she responds. ]

She can fight too, you know. Aoi is super strong.

[latebluemer]

We're not going to fight, Cinque.

[There's a bit of the old exasperation in her voice -- you know, back when their relationship was just her wondering why Cinque kept swinging her mace at things. It's also partly for Kohaku's benefit, though. Just bringing things back to equilibrium. They are just going to talk.

She turns back to Kohaku after a moment.]

We're all in the same boat right now. It might be risky, working with the mafia-- [and she's not just including Cinque in this assessment this time, go figure] --but if we're going to get out of here... If we're going to survive, then we have to do it.

[dolleyed]

I know she's strong.

[ Kohaku gets that childish retort in before Aoi has time to deliver her piece. Not even he himself is sure why he had to prove that point to anyone though.

Then to Aoi: ]

I get that. That's why I'm letting you go. Doesn't stop me from giving a little warning to this missy here.

[ He gestures dismissively towards Cinque. ]

I don't trust her and I won't hold back, no matter who likes her or not.

[whirlingmace]

[ Her expression softens at Kohaku. He really cares, huh? ]

You know...you can be pretty cute sometimes.

[ And then linking arms again to pull Aoi along. ]

Let's go, Blueski.

[Honestly, she has to duck her head lest her involuntary smile get a little too wide -- Cinque is definitely being intentionally more Cinque than usual, and Kohaku is himself, but the combination is something always unpredictable and inappropriately funny and there's something almost reassuring about it at the end of the day.]

All right, all right, I'm coming.

[She does throw a smile back at Kohaku, small and reassuring.]
