INVESTIGATION (?)

Friday morning comes and goes with no dead bodies to discover. Saturday morning passes with no trial. For two days, it seems like the Lady might be keeping to her word. This might truly be a week of rest, with no outside trouble brought in.

(She takes no responsibility for the incident in the vents, so.)

But then on Saturday night, close to midnight, the sound cuts off throughout the resort. The cause of the sudden quiet is unknown, but one thing is clear: something bad has happened.

[He might have been able to survive the poison, with the right treatment and time to rest.

He might have been able to survive the gunshot too, with his naturally fast healing.

But both at once, and without his own natural healing? Yeah, he doesn't stand a chance there. After getting shot, he lets out one last, choked 'I'm sorry' before his eyes go dark.

[Her shoulders jumped and stiffened at the gunshots, but she didn’t even have time to make a sound. There’s tears in her eyes but she doesn’t say anything — covered in blood and the general debris of today (maybe the wall), Aoi just bows her head. She stays next to Cinque, though, and will not resist if clung to or leaned against.]

Well she is just focused on the body before her as the life leaves him. Her vision is blurry and she just cries. At least there were people there... and will be people waiting for him but

She couldn't keep her promise. She couldn't do anything... ]

[Tsumugi goes very quiet and still. Then her hair quickly releases Rean as Tsumugi gets up and walks away, towards Atsushi’s room. She has a scarf to reclaim. If her eye flash occultic blue and no longer empty, but filled with a silent murderous anger... well. She’s found a good goal to work towards, if a hypocritical one.

Tsumugi will remember this. ]

Is Tsumugi gonna root through Atsushi's things?]

[Heck yes she is. She’s specifically looking for the scarf she gave him when they first met, but she’ll snoop along the way. What’s going on in here?]

[The scarf she can find easily. It's hanging with some things in the bathroom, on a drying rack. It looks well cared for, he absolutely treasured it. Maybe don't grab his socks though, those are also hanging up to dry.

His bathroom also has a very large bathtub, one easily big enough for the tiger. And a bath was drawn in it, though by now the water has gone cold.

There is also a potion on his dresser, which she can grab and claim ownership of. But the dresser door is also slightly open, and Tsumugi will be able to catch a glint of metal if she looks down at it.]

[Okay first off, ow her recently rediscovered heart. Secondly, she’s gently grabbing the scarf and wrapping it around her neck. Thirdly, she’s claiming that potion. She’ll check the label afterwards, but for now, that glint of metal is getting investigated. What is it?]

[Was Atsushi the cleaner? Well. The gun is being checked for usage and to see if it has any bullets left. Also, her gun now, for totally only self-defense purposes.]

[It is missing exactly three bullets. So yes she has a gun now.]

[Does that mean there are three bullets left too? Does Tsumugi have a half loaded gun? That she might not tell anyone about or say she got rid of because the adults would probably consfiscate it?]

A 9 mm pistol holds 16 bullets.

She has 13 right now.]

[.... yup. She is telling no one about this. Her gun now. Thanks Atsushi, she’ll save them for the blonde girl, whoever she is.]

There's also a surprise in the closet, if Tsumugi wants to look in there?]

Yep. The Resort was Rude and gave Dazai's coat to Atsushi.]

[Wow. She has no idea what this is, but makes a silent note to ask the staff to clean it and ask Atsushi about it. Anything else in the closet?]

[Nope! Most of Atsushi's clothes were in his dresser.

But over on Atsusi's desk is a notebook with some notes he made while trying to figure out the anime he is from. Several series are crossed off, including Baccano! and Detective Conan. It seems he was trying to figure out where he was from!

(Bungou Stray Dogs is indeed on the list, but it's far enough down that he probably hadn't gotten to it yet.)]

[... Welp. Using her knowledge of anime, how much of the remaining list can she cross off?]

[A few of them are mobile games, so it depends on how well she knows those. But from the list, she can cross off most of the anime ones. Only the newer ones that are after her year chronologically can't be immediately crossed off.]
