INVESTIGATION (?)

Friday morning comes and goes with no dead bodies to discover. Saturday morning passes with no trial. For two days, it seems like the Lady might be keeping to her word. This might truly be a week of rest, with no outside trouble brought in.

(She takes no responsibility for the incident in the vents, so.)

But then on Saturday night, close to midnight, the sound cuts off throughout the resort. The cause of the sudden quiet is unknown, but one thing is clear: something bad has happened.

[ Roxas sighs softly, and he wants to give him a hug, hold him close while also smacking him for doing something so stupid.

But unfortunately Vanitas is still recovering so that's not happening. He's already upset, but it's juxtaposed with the feeling of relief at the moment of it all, and he moves a hand to lightly touch Vanitas' cheek. ]

Of course I did...you idiot.

[ Said fondly, even if his voice kind of is breaking, and his eyes getting watery. ]

...You're lucky I - we found you when you did. What were you even doing? Being out that late?

[ Roxas figures something weird is going on - not Vanitas' fault, of course. But with the holes there in what could've helped influence this...he has to wonder if some sort of foul play was involved. Or, there's another reason why there are holes in Vanitas' story, and for a moment he stares at him a little hard as if searching for something.

But, he's tired, so his expression just settles into something resembling that. Maybe it's because right now? He has him here.
