INVESTIGATION (?)

Friday morning comes and goes with no dead bodies to discover. Saturday morning passes with no trial. For two days, it seems like the Lady might be keeping to her word. This might truly be a week of rest, with no outside trouble brought in.

(She takes no responsibility for the incident in the vents, so.)

But then on Saturday night, close to midnight, the sound cuts off throughout the resort. The cause of the sudden quiet is unknown, but one thing is clear: something bad has happened.

[Tsumugi was planning on staying in. Atsushi specifically asked them to. But getting this message, just before she was about to go to sleep... it has her running out of her room, clad in only only pajamas. She doesn't stop running until she reaches the scene.]

R-roxas!? Where's Vanitas and- and- what happened!?

[There's actual legit panic in her voice for once.]

[ It helps that Roxas is right by Vanitas' side, and he pipes up almost immediately when Tsumugi comes rushing onto the scene. He looks kind of shaken but that's probably to be expected, seeing as Tsumugi is as well. ]

He...and Gerome got attacked by something - I'm not sure what.

[ He'll take it. He remembers a conversation vaguely happening, but... ]

... Oh, right.

[ Now Roxas has to wonder why the two were out in the first place. ]

[The words honestly just dry up in her mouth as she sees the state Vanitas is in. The feeling of fear and despair running through her right now... it's only comparable to another time. Her mind races as she tries to think about how this could happen and if the injuries are bad enough to kill Vanitas.]

[Oh. One thing clicks for her as she stares at the four large gashes.]

A-atsushi! The tiger! H-he told us to stay in our rooms tonight in case he got out!

[Which... he obviously did.]

...Yeah. A lot had happened so I think it was really in the back of my mind.

[ Especially after adVentures. ]

It's good we got here when we did.

[ Otherwise... ... Roxas doesn't even want to finish the thought, as he releases a shaky breath. It was scary, scary enough for him that he thought that it really was too late, but it seemed that wasn't the case after all, by some miracle. ]

[Caring about people here was a mistake. She didn't realize just how much she allowed herself to get attached until one of those she greatly cared about was put in danger.]

[ Roxas sort of trails off and his shoulders slump. ]

...Let's definitely yell at him after this. I didn't think he'd just leave like that. I can't believe he was such an...idiot.

[ His eyes squeeze shut but then open again as he casts his gaze back onto Vanitas' unconscious figure. ]

I-I knew he'd try and fight something here he couldn't take on. B-but I thought... I thought he might have grown out of that by now.

We should make him wear that flower crown we made as an apology and let us take pictures. He owes us for this scare.

[Alright dies in her mouth as she sees Gerome.]

He's been stabilized, but he's not out of the woods yet.

Katherine. Her blood. It heals humans completely in a few seconds if consumed.

But... if he dies after that, he'll become a vampire.
