Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

Ah....maybe they meant it as a reassurance? Like 'hey, everybody made it!'
[Yeah no, he doesn't believe that. But he is trying to reassure Tsumugi.
Also he is still wearing that scarf she gave him, even if he changed outfits.]
no subject
Yeah... it could be that...
[She doesn't sound like she believes it though. Another sigh.]
... but it just seems plain ominous to me.
[For multiple reasons.]
no subject
...mmm. Because they wouldn't have to specify that we're 'alive' if that wasn't going to change for a few people, yes?
no subject
.... Yeah.
[Tsumugi is glad he caught on. She glances down at her tablet.]
It's plain concerning.... but I'm not sure if it'd be better or worse to share these suspicions with everyone else.
[They don't need to potentially cause a panic.]
no subject
Maybe...give it a day or two? There might be a reason for it that we're not aware of. Or we could ask the staff too.
[Because she's right, causing a panic over it would be a bad idea.]
But...mmm. Is it frightening to you? That possibility, I mean.
no subject
We could do both, right? We could ask the staff about it now. Then... if we don’t get any information that confirms our suspicions... we wait.
[It’s strange being the person making a plan in this kind of situation. An odd black look flashes across Tsumugi’s face. Her first impulse is to lie and say yes, but...There’s no reason to here.]
I don’t like the idea of it, but I’m not sure if I’m scared of it. It’s... complicated.
[Her expression settles back into a more neutral one.]
What about you Nakajima-kun?
no subject
...he does get a vibe similar to Kyouka from Tsugumi, though. Hmm.]
'Used to shady dealings and bloody battles' is what my profile said, isn't it?
[He pauses for a moment before further clarifying.]
I don't like death, but I wouldn't say I'm afraid of the possibility of people dying. Not when talking about it in a nebulous sense like this.
[Very real threats in the moment? Yeah, that's scary. But not talking about death in general.]
no subject
[There is no judgement or fear in her voice.]
Yeah... that’s a good outlook to have, I think.
no subject
[Like oil-friend in the hot tub. And the bag of bones in that one room.]
no subject
[This whole situation... it's strange.]
Besides... that time spent worrying could be spent doing other more productive things instead.
