Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

[She gently pats her hoverboard. Which is definitely hovering, and which was hovering even higher a few moments ago. So really, she's not sure what else you would call this. It could, of course, be a hallucination or a near-death experience -- but that doesn't help her make any sense of it either.
Sometimes even a virtual blizzard is just a virtual blizzard.]

[It'd... be rather impossible considering what she last remembers.]

[Of course, it's not like her own situation back home made a lot of sense or had any precedents either, so it's not like she can rule out that whatever the hell is going on here has nothing to do with Link VRAINS or that something weird has happened to her avatar. Or the entire virtual world.
That's not out of the realm of possibility at all.
She just doesn't know what that means for those she left, or those she's just met.]
But I guess... [slowly, feeling her way through the logic that doesn't quite feel like logic] Whether or not this is the virtual reality I know, we still need to figure out where we are. And get out of here.
[...]
So, where did you come from?
Implied NDRV3 Spoilers
[An uncomfortable look flashes across Tsumugi's face at Blue Angel's next question. Tsumugi mentally debates how much to share before settling on an response.]
A dream job turned nightmare.

So then, you're not in a hurry to go back?
[Though she's understandably in a hurry to get away from the here and now.]

[Considering what she last remembers...]

[It's not precisely a real question, actually, because given the exchange they've just had Blue Angel gets the feeling it's not something she should pry too deeply into -- but she's thinking it over. She's not sure what she'd be returning to, either. But there's a certain stubborn core of her believes that there will be something.
She's not sure that can help the girl she's with. But it's at least driving her through the blizzard right now.]
Well, for now... Let's worry about what's in front of us. [...] Actually, I never introduced myself, did I? You can call me Blue Angel.

[She'll leave it at that. There's a small smile at Blue Angel's next words.]
Right. I'm Shirogane Tsumugi. The Ultimate Cosplayer. It's good to meet you Blue Angel-san.

[She sounds a little bemused about it. Navigating life as a maybe-maybe-not-avatar is going to be some form of ridiculous all the time, isn't it?]
It's good to meet you, though, Shirogane-san. Is the Ultimate Cosplayer like, a title?
[It sounds pretty cool, even if she's never heard of it before.]

[A nod and smile.]
It is. It means I'm recognized as being the best at cosplay... but it's nothing too flashy in comparison to a lot of other ultimate talents. It's not like I'm a celebrity...
