Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

It's a little late for that now.
[he cranes his head over his shoulder, glancing at the crowds who are walking with them, and frowns]
There aren't a lot of adults in this group.
no subject
[And after meeting a few people in this group, it'll have to be Iwai and like two others. They'll have their hands full]
no subject
Are you sure you can handle it?
no subject
What kinda question's that?
[This is Munehisa Iwai, Akira. If he decides he will have to, then he will, and he'll do well!]
no subject
[he knows Iwai, and he knows that Iwai can handle his sass. despite the scoff, Akira is still grinning]
no subject
You got that right.
[Stuck 24/7 with Akira's sass for who knows how long.
Well there are worse fates, he guesses]
Not that I'll be crossin' my fingers for a chance to play guardian to anyone. With some luck this will all be over before any of that's necessary. Kinda unlikely, though. This is already too much of a problem to go away conveniently like that.
no subject
So it's a problem we get rid of ourselves, instead of waiting for it to disappear.
[by which he really means, they keep walking until they find shelter and can call for help. if they find shelter]
[if they can call for help]
no subject
[Hmmmm...]
Location. We can't go anywhere nor people can rescue us unless we find out where in the world we are. Until we get that bit of info, or we find something unique around here, we're in tough shit.
no subject
We've got to be somewhere up North. Way up North, for it to be this cold.
no subject
Most likely.
[Current course of action:]
For now there's nothing to do other than get to the end of this path. We'll see what comes next after we're done with this.
[With some luck there'll be shelter not too far away, because Iwai sure isn't looking forward to spending the night out there in the snow]
no subject
Mmm.
Let's just hope we don't have a long walk ahead of us.
no subject
[Something's off about all this, but Iwai isn't sure how to interpret it]
no subject
[and that they'll all travel in one singular direction: forward]
no subject
[What kind of criminals leave their victims lying around with no supervision. Having this level of confidence is extremely risky, in Iwai's opinion, chances are they're simply stupid]
