Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

Just this...
[He'll point out that scrawl, frowning a little to himself.]
I wonder if there's a Nue still staying here...?
[...]
Also... I think you should hold onto that note...and keep it safe somewhere.

[She takes another munch of the roll--it tastes...okay...it's probably fine. Probably.]
Or maybe it's one of the Staff. [Said with some amount of distaste.]

It could be. The handwriting seems kind of young, though.
[Not that he likes to think of small children stuck in a situation like that, but... he's been there before.]
Have any of the Staff given their names?

[Said in a dry tone as she sits down at one of the tables. She goes to grab a piece of toast--God, she hadn't realized it at the time, but she's hungry as hell.]
We'll have to check in with the others and see what they've found, then see if we can come up with any answers. I don't like the feel of this place. At all.

[It's way too grim and serious for that.
He's also going to reach for an apple, though, because he's hungry and that was a long walk before.]
Um... I'm Minato, by the way. Sorry you got dragged into a situation like this.

Name's Ripley. And don't be sorry--it's not your fault, anyways.
[She runs a hand through her hair and leans back in her chair. She's been trained to take on difficult survival situations like this--she's probably got a decent handle on most things. Probably.]
I'm just frustrated that so many kids also had to be dragged into this shitshow.

Yeah... whatever we're here for, it's probably nothing good. We'll have to try to find a way out as soon as we can.
[DESPITE...THE ROADS EXCUSE... Though getting lost in the elements might be just as bad.]
