Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!
Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

[Of course she's not on time to stop Cinque, not that she could have done anything anyway short of pushing her into the water. Which. She's not going to do, all things considered. Unfortunately, thanks to her common sense and Cinque's total lack of it, there's just fire now. Or not.
I guess there's a beat where they all stare at the smoldering (maybe) water.]
Why was this your first idea? This whole place smells like oil! You don't know what would have happened!
[She sounds irritated, but not actually completely outraged yet. At least the jacuzzi didn't explode.]

[ Saying that from his arms. She doesn't seem to be fighting against this? Just going to roll with this. ]

[And she's just going to put her face in her hands after a moment, in which she's made sure that Ryoga's grabbed Cinque in her pirouette towards petrol-induced doom. Like, really, someone save them from the Cinqueing school of field investigation because Blue Angel is already Done.
Anyway.
She'll just step between Ryoga and Cinque and the petrol jacuzzi so no one gets any bright ideas anymore. Hopefully.]
You, just... hold on to her. As tight as you can. I'm going to-- [ugh, this whole thing smells terrible and you're making her stand in front of it] --do this.
[Slams the Staff button on her tablet, this has gone far enough!!]

[Their gaze falls on the jacuzzi, and they give an apologetic smile.]
Ah, I see. Our apologies! We'll get this cleaned up right away. One of our Guests simply loves the hot tub, and has a tendancy of falling asleep in it.
[The staff member approaches...and gently reaches out, shaking...something.]
Dear Guest, you've fallen asleep here again. Please return to your room.
[There's a moment of silence, then - The water moves, the oil being taken away with it, as black handprints appear on the floor , moving towards the door back to the hotel proper. The handprints themselves vanish after a few moments, leaving nothing but the smell of oil behind.]

[A ghost?! A Yokai? He instinctively grips Cinque tighter to him protectively, tight enough that it is likely start to become uncomfortable]

[ Is it a Mister? Who knows. Before Cinque can even think about it she's getting squeezed tight. Trying to wiggle out of his arms now. ]

[As blasé as Blue Angel can be about all sorts of weird shit around here since she's technically walking around as a digital version of herself, she still lets out a little shriek when something rises out of the water, and just misses jumping back into Cinque and Ryoga scrambling to get out of the path of those weird, wet handprints.
That's so gross Cinque could have been standing in that two seconds ago.]
Ugh! What kind of a hotel is this?! [she's going to repeat this for posterity's sake because seriously, even if she's used to seeing all kinds of things in Link VRAINS this is a little...] We could have walked into that! There could have been... ugh.
[A shake of her head, and she composes herself a little. Turns to the staff with her hands on her hips.]

[Like first of all, you can't just say all the oil left now get in that's not how this works?? There's so many outright issues with what the staff just tried to pull that she finally gives up on trying to address them and focuses on trying to chase them down.
