The wakeup is familiar - yet not any less nerve-wracking. Though you have survived the night, the knowledge that the Mafia - the monsters - have killed is ringing loudly in your mind.

The hotel speakers crackle to life just like before, drawing your attention and startling you. Heart racing, you listen to the announcement...

...And there seems to be ominous music in the halls...

Minato is definitely frowning a bit, but he's quiet as he follows.

[As they enter the gym, a harsh smell of blood hits their nostrils.

It seems to be coming from where the gravity room is...]

[He whispers, glancing to Minato as he stalks closer]

The moment they get close, it's clear where the bloody smell is coming from.

A sigil of a wolf has been drawn on the door in blood, with a pair of large gloves completely soaked in blood. Both the blood on the door and the blood on the gloves is in a state of drying.]

[He removes his bandana, wrapping his hand in it before attempting to open the door]

Minato clasps a hand over his mouth and noae at that, though he doesn't gag; he's mostly just grimacing.

He's going to... Very tentatively pick up those gloves by the very ends, where they are hopefully not soaked in blood (citation needed????) though to bring with them. They need all of the evidence they can get, right?

Okay time to open that door.]

[The moment they open the door is the moment they will regret for the rest of their lives.

It's still set on anti-gravity, though the switch is bloodstained. Smaller objects float in the room - what looks like a potion bottle, a pair of headphones, a small bottle of booze, the hilt of a deactivated laser sword, and a piece of fortune cookie paper that simply reads 'YOLO'. An ironic - and fitting - saying.

But there is no getting past the blood and visera that float in the room, blobs of blood and ropes of intestine floating in the air, along with tiny chunks of flesh and perhaps even other organs.

The body floats among all of this, arms and legs at horrible, unnatural angles, but the face is unmarred, and unfortunately shows them who it is.

Munehisa Iwai is dead.]

Ah... ah...

[All the color drained from his face at what looks like a bloody gore tornado - he involuntarily screamed as he scrambled back from the door]

[Holy...shit.

Minato stumbles back on automatic too, dropping the gloves immediately. It's...horrifying, the smell, the blobs of flesh--for a minute, Minato thinks he's going to be sick, but he bites it back, dragging in shuddering breaths. This... is no way for anyone's body to be left.

So carefully, eyes averted, breathing still shuddering, Minato edges his way over to the switch to turn off the anti-gravity switch, sleeve covering his fingers.

You'd better bet he's keeping his eyes squeezed shut as he does. This...is not something he wants to see when all of that...falls.

Oh god.]

[Ryoga seem to collapse at the same time that Iwai's body did, his breath coming in heaves before he lost it - swallowing the acidic bile first, then when that no longer worked, he stumbles towards a wall, vomiting]

No way - no way.

[Before he does, it's easy to see a drying bloodstain on the floor.

But as he does, there's a sickening splat as gravity takes it's due, the sound of multiple liquids and fleshy, wet material hitting the ground. There's also the clanks of the items as they fall.]

[He flinches at the noise as he tries to steel himself]

We... we have to look.

[No matter how much neither of them want to, as he gingerly walks into the room - inspecting the items for signs of damage, or marks something amiss]

[The items are mostly untouched - though Ryoga will be able to find a knife. It's covered in dried blood.]

H-hey... don't push yourself.

[It's said pretty shakily, though, so Minato's a hypocrite. Either way, after that sickening splat of everything falling, he'll join in to look things over.

Anything else that stands out?]

[While he's looking at the knife]

I need to - or else I'm not going to live with myself for not trying hard enough, Arisato-san. We need to find that son of a bitch.

[There's the body. Gonna take a look at that?]

[I GUESS.

IF WE MUST.

TIME TO APPROACH THE BODY........ Minato's definitely still looking thoroughly sick because despite his best efforts he's probably squelching through guts right now and that's SO GROSS.]

[He is, indeed. The intestines around have all been clearly bitten, though Minato's not a dog expert and can't tell if it was the puppy again or not.

A lot of Iwai's bones are clearly broken, and his body is covered in bruises and indications of internal bleeding.

His arms have been gnawed on, partial breaks clear in the upper arm. Much like yoshi, he's been disemboweled with a classic gut cleaning cut. But the clear indicator of what killed him is throat, which has been torn out.]

Minato has learned from everyone else's example, and he takes reluctant pictures that he has to take more than once when his shaking fingers make them blurry.

But he manages.

And then he looks more closely, willing his stomach to stay in place.

[there are thin, clean cuts in areas that haven't been chewed on. They look odd....as if Iwai was still moving when they were done.

Beyond those, he's seen everything he can here.]

[He uses the bandana from before to carefully nudge it mainly because he really doesn't want to touch it - what kind of knife is it? and does the blood extend to the handle in any particular shape?]

[The knife is practically covered in blood. No particular pattern.

As for the type of knife, it's a kitchen knife.]
