[CONTINUE + 4] Week 1 || Act: mingle

Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.

Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, though now there's far, far less of them.

Is time running out for the mission? How many more loops do you have?

...You feel as if something is watching you when you're not looking.

You say that as if someone going "IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!" isn't a form of entertainment.

Not if there's no drama involved. We simply accept that our person committed a murder, and end the trial. Roll the credits after 2 minutes.

This still doesn't address my concern about the reason why it hasn't used the same person to murder twice has been because we uncover the murderer's identity.

What do we do if that person is the murderer again? That can really mess with a person, you know.

Frankly, I'm not sure. Perhaps because it doesn't want to repeat the scenarios? It has 17 puppets to try this out with, so maybe it is counting on one of us to produce the result it wants.

Except at least 6 of those have to be the "victims". Which means there's only 9 of us to choose from. That's still not enough to give everyone double chances to be the murderer...

Technically you would need 2, a victim and a murderer, from a pool of 17...therefore it would have up to 136 distinct possible combinations it could make.

It could be made uninteresting fairly easily. "Who did it?" "Me." "Okay."

Except that if this thing has as much influence as we think it does, who's to stop it from possessing someone and yelling "OBJECTION!"

If it does that, that's something that hasn't happened before.

... it'd also be really dramatic and entertaining so now I kind of want it to happen.
oceanicbutterfly: ([k] Hm...)

Maybe I should brush up on Gyakuten Saiban just in case.

Then we're still breaking the script.

[hmmmm thinking about this]

It could be some fun court-room drama for sure.

[ ............................................ ]

Someone did confess right off the bat, at camp.

[ .... ]

We didn't believe him, though, we went through with the whole trial...

If the "flashback" theory is right, that's probably why it wasn't allowed in the Winchester house.

... the only reason we didn't believe him is because he'd tried to sacrifice himself at a lot of other trials.

That could be a problem if we get it wrong. So far we have voted correctly every time, yes? So there's no telling what happens when we vote wrong.

We should try that this week: doing the trial like normal, but then voting wrong on purpose. Once we know what happens, then we can try that idea next week.

Yeah, that just makes me think of some guy with a curly mustache jumpin' out from the side of a stage, interruptin' the main play, holdin' the stolen jewels and confessin' to kidnappin' the countess who went missin' in the first act.

He ain't relevant, but he sure holds your attention real well.

Found that funny, huh?

[Anyways, time for a skull bath and pie]
