[CONTINUE + 4] INTRO

[After so long a trip, you're all finally here. Taken through a hidden passage inside of the very mountain itself, you find yourself standing in front of a field of flowers, growing well due to the open roof above it. If you look up, you can just make out the shimmering colors off of the barrier - looking almost like the shine off of a soap bubble.
Try not to trample on the flowers as you approach the open, purple gate. And remember to wear your masks, now that you're here!
...Still, the sight of the yellow flowers waving in the wind....such a cheery sight fills you with determination for what's to come.
Welcome to the Underground.
...Again. The loop happened again, and you're here. Everything is the same.
Someone who was dead is alive again.
The trial...it was...you remember only up until Gilgamesh was FOUGHT against, and then...nothing.
You feel you shouldn't try to remember anything beyond that.
Not only that, But more monster names have faded from your memory.
...When will this end?]

[Because he's expendable. Because everyone else is a precious treasure that can't be let go so lightly.]
How can I support people without being able to see the numbers...?

Honestly, Gilgamesh was well familiar with expendables. There will always be those, that's a fact of life. But as far as he was concerned, thinking consistently that one has just a value as an expendable did nothing for anyone. So, it was unacceptable to him. ]
Enough of that nonsense.
There will always be those who take more importance than you do. But even so, do you expect that by saying 'it's better me than someone else', that it will solve everything?
In fact, if you throw your life away thoughtlessly because you believe that's the only way of use you can be, you cannot guarantee it will truly save someone's life in the end. Perhaps the threat will simply take out the person you just 'saved' because they are too busy staring down at your broken and dead body or they're in no condition to prevent their own death. What use would such a sacrifice be then?
You've a talent in being friendly with others; use it for the remaining creatures. If you've ideas, then bring them to the table whenever a meeting occurs, and there's no harm in attempting to look through areas you may think that may be of importance. Not to mention, if there's something a noncombatant can do, like some kind of ridiculous quest that didn't involve fighting, you can lend your efforts towards that, like you've done before.
There are other things as well, but you'll figure it out if you don't want to disappoint those around you.

Am I... really that good at making friends?
[It's still so weird to consider.]
...It sounds like I disappointed you too, huh?
no subject
[ Gilgamesh refused to acknolwedge his own, naturally. ]
Yes, you have. But if you dare believe that is the end of the world, or act as if it is, you will disappoint me even further. Even a disgraced mongrel may have the chance to redeem themselves.
Unless they are the type to uselessly drown themselves in disgusting self-pity and blame others for their mistakes.
[ But at the very least he didn't think Yoshi the type to become the kind of person he hated the most.
...That said, he was also disappointed in his inability to resist and keep his body from killing Yoshi but that was neither here nor there. And he attributed the blame to the creature, not himself. ]

[With great responsibility, after all. That makes sense.
But also:]
Since you're angry, does that mean you were worried, too?
no subject
[ So you know.
...
He'll scowl. ]
What made you dare to ask such a question? Nevermind that! A King like myself can't afford to worry about every single momgrel he comes across.
[ His pride and state of being such an emotional walnut made it difficult to admit he was worried straight out. But yes, he had been. ]

Unfortunately, Gilgamesh is talking to trash, so:]
...Are you a tsundere?
no subject
...You would do well not to call me that again.
[ THIS WAS THE MILLIONTH TIME HE WAS CALLED A TSUNDERE!! He's going to have a (childish) fit. ]

Perhaps it is because you know I will grant you leniency considering the circumstances.

[Pls no murder again so soon.]

Consider yourself fortunate that your hopes are not for naught, then.
