[CONTINUE + 4] INTRO

[After so long a trip, you're all finally here. Taken through a hidden passage inside of the very mountain itself, you find yourself standing in front of a field of flowers, growing well due to the open roof above it. If you look up, you can just make out the shimmering colors off of the barrier - looking almost like the shine off of a soap bubble.
Try not to trample on the flowers as you approach the open, purple gate. And remember to wear your masks, now that you're here!
...Still, the sight of the yellow flowers waving in the wind....such a cheery sight fills you with determination for what's to come.
Welcome to the Underground.
...Again. The loop happened again, and you're here. Everything is the same.
Someone who was dead is alive again.
The trial...it was...you remember only up until Gilgamesh was FOUGHT against, and then...nothing.
You feel you shouldn't try to remember anything beyond that.
Not only that, But more monster names have faded from your memory.
...When will this end?]

[ he laughs, bitter and tired as he runs a hand through his hair. oh how he wishes things were that easy. but they never have been, have they? ]
But to think that it could take control of you again...and Yoshi. Damn it, I really did think that we had lost him for good. And there was nothing I could have done if that had been the case. Nothing.

Still, I won't change it. Even if you have a hard time believing it. Such is what I had decided, no matter what nonsense came our way. One day you will see it my way; it is an inevitability, considering who I am.
[ Honestly though, he knew their enemy was...rather powerful. Gilgamesh understood this; he acknowledged such a thing, and yet it felt like they only seemed to continuously be reminded of that fact. But even so, they had managed to keep from losing anymore of their group to the CORE, and he had to believe that was a plus.
And maybe that's why he was banking on the idea that the fact their memories had been erased meant that they done something right. Or maybe he was being too stubborn for his own good. ]
...It's absolutely infuriating that I seem unable to resist its control, but I will ensure that it will pay for this. [ ...Things might get difficult if he got possessed again, but he won't think of it now. ] That aside, I've never thought we truly lost him; the creature always seemed so intent on needing a SOUL to be tossed into the CORE. So at the very least if neither of us had the SOUL, perhaps someone else who attended the trial would due to its consistent efforts.
Therefore that thought of 'being unable to do nothing if we lost that SOUL' is now no longer one worth entertaining, as surely you or someone else in the group would've been able to do something to retrieve it in time.
