Meta text aside, guess we're going towards the entrance of the Ruins to see what, exactly, is this glint is and inspect that.]

[It is a bloody kitchen knife.]

[Taking a glance at Clarke but not touching the knife just yet--]

You wouldn't happen to have a handkerchief or anything, do you? I don't want to touch it to catch any unnecessary prints on the handle.

[She does, however, decide to check if the kitchen knife is bloody all the way through, or if it's just the blade itself.]

Oh— I have a couple pairs of gloves that came with my medical kit we can use. [clarke had brought a few things like that in her bag that could carry with her including those just in case she discovers the body and needs to do a check. she will just hand over a pair to inaba since she's handling the knife and checking it out]

So are the two of them picking up the knife with the gloves? What will they do with it from there?]

We need something to wrap it in, too. . . I don't want to keep holding this out in the open, and I want to put it in my bag for safekeeping, but also -

Yeah, let me see what I have here. [clarke is just looking through her bag to see if there's anything they could use] I have some bandages, gauze and some other types of dressing here we could use to wrap it up.

[We'll say you guys find a way to carry it, between the two of you there's probably some way to do it safely.

As they work, they will see a flicker of light out of the corner of their eye. Go looking for it?]

That'll help out a lot.

[Let's just wrap the knife in bandages then.

Which direction is the flicker of light coming from?

The Ruins in the ruins or is it elsewhere?]

[clarke just nods and once they're done with wrapping up the knife, they'll investigate the light from whichever direction it is coming from]

[It's over by one of the other entrances to the Ruins, actually. Since there's a couple of those.

It is a lantern.]

[Okay, guess we're asking a few questions here -

Which entrance is it at? The one closer to the playground, the one closer to the river house, or the one in between?

Also, is the lantern intact? Is it broken anywhere? How big of a lantern are we talking about here?]

[now with checking out the latern, in addition to those questions, is there anything else noticeable about the light determining maybe a timeframe it was used?]

[It's by the middle entrance, with the knife having been at the playground entrance.

The lantern is intact! And upright too, it looks like it was set down carefully. It looks like a lantern that can be carried in one hand.

Also, it is still glowing brightly! This lantern seems to have a spell on it to never go out.
