Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.

Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, despite this being your second 'time' trying this monday.

...Though....are there a few less Monsters here than there were before? ...Nah. You must be imagining it.

You still have a mission - and after the events of the last trial, you want to do your best to stop whatever is causing this.

But, hey. You really do have nothing but time now to figure it out.

There was also something that was bothering me...

When I could see them, all the numbers were slowed down. The... mystery man said that it was because time passed slower here.

Is the cause of time reversing just because it slowed so much it reversed? Or is it just because that man fell into the CORE?

I swear - we probably should give him a nickname so that we're not just referring to him as 'mystery man' all the time. It sounds too impersonal.

[Just going to point that out.]

I don't know that for sure, but I also... kind of wasn't.

I can't tell what the instigating moment was unless someone runs me through things a little more precisely.

Of that one mobile game. I vaguely remember talking to him about class advantages. Archer of Mystery?

Kind of, but I don't think his SOUL broke. And he wasn't exactly surrounded by people, he fell into... uhh, it looked like lava? The dog guard who was escorting him looked strange for a moment before pushing him in.

It's like its fur got darker for a moment. That was probably the moment of possession.

Maybe it got altered already slightly...

[She hums to herself thoughtfully.] That's probably right.

I wonder why, though - was it because of that item?

He did, but I don't think he got to use it before he fell.

Lava... Though, it appeared to be white, and it seemed to let out some sort of electric attack when he made contact with it?

[What even was that stuff?]

In the first place, why would the monsters choose to hold a trial in such a dangerous location?

Yeah. I don't think normal lava would have reacted that way to him falling in, either. Lava's super hot, so he should have caught on fire.

Don't know why they chose it for the trial, though...

That is weird...

If we have another trial - do you think we could ask them?

I intend to, yes. Perhaps the reason for our enemy's apparent inaction is because they can only take souls after they come into contact with that. In such a case, we may be able to avoid things escalating simply by changing the trial location.

[Though that's... probably wishful thinking.]

...If we are going to go with something like that, I feel like Archer of the Underground may be more appropriate.

It could be that the repeats is what is slowing down time. Like when you play a CD too many times and it gets scratched.

You mean Professor M might have done some repeats, too?

Perhaps? I suppose there's no real way to know for sure without finding Red and asking her.

Or Cinque, maybe?

We don't know when we'll see Red again, so... I guess that leaves Cinquey!
