Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.

Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, despite this being your second 'time' trying this monday.

...Though....are there a few less Monsters here than there were before? ...Nah. You must be imagining it.

You still have a mission - and after the events of the last trial, you want to do your best to stop whatever is causing this.

But, hey. You really do have nothing but time now to figure it out.

[This door seems to have a bunch of do not enter signs on it, as well as a small note in...Papyrus....telling TRESPASSERS TO STAY OUT!!

More than that, as his hand lands on the doorway...Ren has the feeling that Entering in without permission may have some consequences.

What does he do?]

[He pauses, biting his lip. His instincts are something he knows to trust- even without his Third Eye to visualize what his guts says.

But damn that's also tempting. For now, he passes by for the other door- he'll come back if things end up being a washout everywhere else]

[Well, the other door has nothing on it - and when he opens it up, he finds....

...A mess. seriously, it's a mess, and is that a fucking trash tornado with a sleeping dog in it in the corner???

There...is also a sleeping skeleton in here on the mattress. You should probably not wake him up.]

[Oh shit that's Sans isn't it??? Looks like the house isn't empty after all!

...Ren pictures going into the other room with its almost childish warnings to not enter, hitting an alarm of some sort, and Sans seeing him here... yeah, he made the right choice.

SO he quietly closes the door and goes back downstairs. He's not giving up just yet though, heading towards the kitchen]

[Sans and the doggo continue to sleep, undisturbed.

The kitchen is clean, and there are....food? items? sitting out on the counter. It's probably food Papyrus's made, but they look a little....weird. They seem to be experimental dishes, anyway - mostly spaghetti based. Is that a dessert one?

Other than that, that's all that's really in the house. It's kind of boring.]

[While looking around did he see the back door from this side?]

[No.

Whatever the back door keeps locked, it isn't accessible from the home side.]

[Well! That gives him a clue where to head next. He slips back out, doing a subtle look around to make sure no one is watching him before heading around the building again]

[No one is watching - It's as peaceful as ever.

The backdoor is just as nondescript as the rest of the house, but it is still stubbornly locked.]

Stan would tear my ear off for forgetting my lockpick... but-

[He slips his tools from his jacket, grinning- they aren't the perfect fit for this kind of thing, but they are the delicate thin tools he used for MAKING lockpicks and ammo- so they should still work.

He sets to it, taking it slow- he doesn't want to break the lock if he can avoid it]

[It takes some work, but the door is unlocked, with the lock unbroken. Hurray!

Inside, Ren sees a very strange room, small and tiled, with blueprints on the counter and something with a sheet over it.

There's also plenty of drawers.]

[Ooooh jackpot. He heads to the blueprints first, taking out his phone to light the way]

[It's pretty complicated - They're definitely blueprints of some kind of machine, but they're done in a bunch of weird symbols.

Still, he can take photos of them if he wants. They're not going anywhere.]

[Yeah this is way out of his paygrade, but he takes careful pictures of them all. Next, he heads towards the covered thing, peeking under the tarp]

[It's definitely a machine, but it appears to be broken. Like, trying to turn it on won't do anything. Darn!]

[He'll take some pics here too- maybe the blueprints were for this? He has no clue, Knowledge was his least favored stat.

Now for the drawers]

[Most of the drawers are empty - one contains a badge, but the name and what it was for has been worn away.

The other...contains a photo album.]

[Pic of the badge- what kinda badge does it look like? Something like a police badge or something like a Foundation lanyard?

He's more interested in the album though, flicking it open.]

[Like a Lanyard - something a researcher would wear.

The album is...interesting. First, there are some pictures of what looks like an unfamiliar skeleton, though she (you assume?) has sugar skull markings on her face. She does seem to share the same kind of facial structure as Papyrus, though, and she's posing for the camera.

The collection is simply titled 'VERDANA', in the same font.

The next few pictures are of the same skeleton with another one, who also seems feminine in appearance, but is as short as sans is, with the same kind of permanent grin - going out, holding hands, and even looking embarrassed, as if whoever took the photo caught the two of them when they were being mushy.

It's titled 'VERDANA AND MYRIAD.'

Turning the page, there's then a few pictures of What is very obviously smaller versions of Sans and Papyrus in striped shirts, along with the two other skeletons doing things like going out for walks, playing at the playground, being in waterfall...normal family things.

It's titled 'SANS AND PAPYRUS (W/ MOMS)']

[That's... actually really sweet??? Sans and Papyrus have such nice looking moms??? He doesn't want to pry too much though, and just scans the pics for information as he flips through. if this is purely personal it deserves to be left alone]
