Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.

Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, despite this being your second 'time' trying this monday.

...Though....are there a few less Monsters here than there were before? ...Nah. You must be imagining it.

You still have a mission - and after the events of the last trial, you want to do your best to stop whatever is causing this.

But, hey. You really do have nothing but time now to figure it out.

How... well, I guess asking 'how are you holding up' is pretty stupid. But- what happened hit you harder than maybe anyone.

Some people... they end up so tangled up in your life that words like friend or enemy, rival or lover... they dont really cover it. Losing someone like that is like losing a limb- doesn't matter if it was twisted or infected. It's still *yours*.

[His stone fingers twitch. Old echoing pain of Archer's shot taking "his" head from his shoulders, the same way he always pictured the cognitive Akechi taking his shot on the real thing.]

Having to go through that twice, almost exactly the same way? You need time to grieve. More than any of us.

I suppose I should explain it's a little more literal in our case. Some Heroic Spirits are "Paired" for the lack of a better word - if Karna is summoned, most likely his brother and killer Arjuna would follow - that is the same with us - me and that man.
