[CONTINUE] ROUND 6 - INTRO

[After so long a trip, you're all finally here. Taken through a hidden passage inside of the very mountain itself, you find yourself standing in front of a field of flowers, growing well due to the open roof above it. If you look up, you can just make out the shimmering colors off of the barrier - looking almost like the shine off of a soap bubble.

Try not to trample on the flowers as you approach the open, purple gate, where it looks as if someone is waiting for all of you just inside. And remember to wear your masks, now that you're here!

...Still, the sight of the yellow flowers waving in the wind....such a cheery sight fills you with determination for what's to come.

Welcome to the Underground.

You have the -

wait.

Haven't you done this before? No, you have. There was the murder, the trial, the ending and the Darkness -

Any abilities or powers you might have had are now totally off, as if they were never there.

...Someone who was dead is alive again. And someone else....

...

What was his name? You've forgotten it.]

Mmm...

It's kind of hard to describe it, really, but it's kind of how like when someone punches you hard and you get knocked out for a while? Something like that.

[personal profile] sageking 2020-08-16 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
Then it'll be too much to expect you to have noticed something worth anything to us given the state you were.

[ Unfortunately. But at least the question was asked, so they can move on from that. ]

The most we can do is continue to make contingency plans, gather information, and to attempt to progress further than we were able to last time.
dereban: ([m] 11)

[personal profile] dereban 2020-08-16 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
... yeah. Sorry that I can't be of much help on that front.

[If she managed to have gained any information as a SOUL, that would have been nice, but things can't ever be so easy.]

And exactly. We come up with plans, back up plans, and back up plans for our back up plans.

[Which means recording and jotting down every last thing and trying to formulate ways to go around the 'erasure' of knowledge, something that inherently pisses her off in more ways than one.]

We do, at least know more now. And - better now, I suppose. We'll have to progress further faster - there's at least a few things that I have in mind in terms of objectives.

Tch. Such an apology is useless and completely unnecessary; as far as I can tell you've given all the information you can.

[ Alas, Gilgamesh didn't mind adversity; opposite of it really. But he really WOULDN'T mind getting some critical information easily just once in a situation like this considering the stakes!!! ]

Such as making our way through Undyne to progress to Hotland and locating that woman for two of them?

[ Supposedly that was dangerous but they were so busy just gathering information, he wasn't surprised it had been essentially tabled. ]
dereban: ([m] 45)

[personal profile] dereban 2020-08-16 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
Right. Thank you.

[She appreciates it, Gilgamesh.]

Those are two of them, of course. I do have some others that we should keep in mind, though...

There was someone that man was talking to when we first got to Snowdin, right? I think talking to him could potentially yield interesting results. I also want to keep an eye on everyone we meet, just in case we're not the only ones that are recalling the loops.

[If there's an off chance that there's someone out there that also knows -

She wants to find them, and make them their ally, fast.]

But of course. The magnanimity of a King such as myself can be great.

[ Anyway, rolling right along... ]

...Oh, him. Sans.

[ He sounded completely unenthusiastic about that. He actually even temporarily forgot he spoke to that monster, really. ]

I spoke to him previously when I exited the library 'last week'. He seemed to be vaguely interested in my whereabouts, though with everything that had occurred it became something I hardly thought much of. He also had declared himself a 'friend for the moment' and seemed far too interested in cracking a variety of puns, but you've a point.

I suppose if I or anyone else should run into him again, we should see if we're able to glean anything important from him.

[ Though, he's not expecting anything on his end. Such was the nature of these things given the level of difficulty in their mission thus far. ]

... Papyrus and Sans.

[...]

Wait, you said he makes puns? I guess that makes him a comic Sans.

[ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.]

But if he said 'for the moment', that means this could change... it's probably for the best that we meet up again and see if he still considers us a "friend".

Besides, most people who make jokes like that are sometimes doing it to hide things.

[Case in point: herself.] Do you know what specific day and time you saw him at the library?

[She wants specifics, right down to the letter. If this is a time loop, they might be able to meet certain people at the same exact times and places as before, meaning that it's time for the R5's worst nightmare:

Scheduling.]

[ Right, Papyrus. He coincidentally forgot about him too. Look a lot happened it's a lot to keep track of and he's definitely majorly distracted by the fact his powers are gone!!

...He's really bothered about that, ok. ]

There are a couple of fools who do that in our group besides yourself as well.

[ He'll glance at Wei and then Dazai before looking back at her. ]

It was midday, following the end of the escort mission. As for the time, I didn't bother looking at my watch.

[ Which also was under his armor. Also his cellphone was in his pocket, so. ]

[Inaba is one of the few that aren't distressed by powers being gone, but that's because she was a normal human to begin with. Although she can't help but feel a little bad for those who are attached to them.]

... yeah, I know. And they have similar tendencies for doing so, which might make it the case here as well.

[Ren is also someone who comes to mind for this...

But - okay, time to start writing down dates and times; even vague time periods is good enough for her.]

Although I could be wrong. [Would also not be surprised if it's just jokes for the sake of jokes, a lot of monsters tend to be very straightforward.] But after the escort mission, huh...

Given that we lost the name of the ghost, do you think that we'll have some other 'activity' to do on Monday?

[It'd be one thing if they had to do an escort mission every time, but...]

[ He's not surprised at all in the slightest. Though, really, fostering close relationships was never something he excelled at... ]

You could be, though in this case I doubt it. There's always someone who acts like a fool for some reason or other.

It's probable we'll have to do something else. Either another escort mission with another monster in place of that ghost, or some kind of mundane task. I don't believe the Queen will assign us anything more difficult than last time, because why would she? She'd likely want to still start us off with something relatively easy.

[ He wouldn't really know for sure. Not having his clairvoyance work here was kind of annoying...not to say he relied on it too heavily, but he was more keen to pay attention to it due to his experiences. This whole situation case in point. ]

["Comic Sans..." and come to think of it, "Papyrus" is a font, too, isn't it?

Karen groans.]

So those two are Font Skeletons. I don't know what I expected.

[personal profile] dereban 2020-08-16 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah.

It makes me wonder what kind of font they had to translate from for that one book. There's a lot of weird ones.

Forgetica... do you think he would be forgetful in that case?

Though I haven't seen anything about Papyrus-san that reminds me of papyrus.
dereban: ([m] 31)

[personal profile] dereban 2020-08-16 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, no. Forgetica is actually a font that actually helps boost your memory because it's hard to read.

I mean, you'd think that difficult fonts would make it harder, right...? But like - apparently there's a study of how Sans Forgetica works by utilizing 'desirable difficulty', which is when an obstruction is added to promote deeper cognitive processing, which winds up in you retaining things more.
oceanicbutterfly: ([k] Hm...)
