WEEK 1 || ACT: MINGLE
Monday comes onto the snowy town, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.
Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, and there's so much to explore.
But, there is also that ever-looming threat. Still, it doesn't seem like anyone here could do such a thing as summon something to eat this world....right?
Well. You still have time to figure it out.
...In fact, you'll have nothing but time.

but also he doesn't know what to say, still. they had a couple of good conversations, but there's still that feeling of needing to flee from his own mistakes and ill-doing.]

Atsushi does sense the awkward there, though, so he'll push himself to start the conversation.]
It's pretty, isn't it?

It makes me wonder how they get it to glow like this. Even things like glowing plankton require sunlight, right?

[Because it would show a way out.]

[case in point: destroying the web destroyed containment on the curse that one time.]
I think the same could be said for people, too.

Though I would say that, even if it's negative sometimes, it's still worth finding out.

... can I safely assume you've likely read the works that try to make sense of certain characters, then?
I would have asked sooner, but I thought it would make you feel like you've been rude or something.

...there was another Atsushi here, last year. He was different from me, and I think he's the one you would have been more familiar with.
So, I read the books, to see why things were so different between him and I.
[He definitely got some kind of answer from all of it.]

[he was so sad about Oda hating him, he read all the Buraiha lit and laid on his face on his birthday until he was bullied into being more of a person.]
But I've never really had that kind of way of thinking when I hear about other Dazais.

[He falls quiet again, his gaze solidly on the caves around them rather than on Dazai himself.
He remains quiet for a while, trying to think of what can even be said. He still has so much he hasn't really dealt with from his life before the Foundation, and he probably never will come to terms with it all.]
They told me, when I arrived two years ago, that no version of Dazai had ever been in the Foundation. But they lied twice over about that, if not more. It makes me wonder why they did that.

... though he might have been given a different designation since they didn't remember me at all.
Even with a more cooperative younger one... well, I was an obedient child in the ways that mattered for them, but if given reign to act or plan for something on his own, then there would always be an X factor they couldn't figure into it.
Generally, that factor being himself.
Most people aren't good at predicting people and a place like the Foundation even less so. But significantly more difficult is predicting what someone who has nothing to lose will do if presented with something or someone like you.
