I got no idea how to make soup in the first place, miasma or not!! So I don't give a shit!

[The snakes will definitely try to bite him while he's whacking around, but the snakes are in fact a distraction tactic now. There's enough of them to partially obscure the view, and the magic show coming from the dragon and the celestial beings fighting next to them does the rest, because while Nora could have gone for more magic...

Instead what you're getting is this: he kicks the spear back up into his hand, the weapon lengthening to its full size once he's got it in hand, and uses the snakes as a cover to charge Gio. One dog with hella spear, coming right up and aiming straight for your FACE.]

It's actually pretty easy, even if you do it the mundie way! I have some basic recipes I could - oh crap - [ Spear + face = not good. Giovanni manages to squeak out a: ] Teleports behind you! [ And he does just that, vanishing in a cloud of steam to appear behind Nora - but not before the spear gets in a good slice on his cheek. Miasma gushes angrily from the wound as he raises his bat to strike at Nora himself. ]

[The thing is: Nora is fast, and in battle he's even faster. Even if he has no teleportation because he's a little shit who refuses to properly learn all his non-attack spells, he's fully capable of moving faster than the naked eye even in close-quarters combat. More so if there's a yelled warning!

So Giovanni will find his bat whistling through thin air while Nora appears behind him, because I guess popping up behind each other's backs is going to be a whole thing now. Instead of his spear, though, he's going to rev up some water magic in his hand.]

I ain't ever studied properly, and I ain't going to start studying cooking now from a stupid ghost...!!

[There's the briefest hesitation in his speech but not in his movement: he's going for a waterborne punch to the head here, the same one that punched the miasma out of Saphir on Sunday. Will the exorcism punch have the same effect on a Vessel?]

Uh, a cool guy?! Obviously!! [ But not a cool enough guy to dodge a super-fast water punch, unfortunately. There's barely time for Giovanni's eyes to widen in horror at the fist coming straight for his head - ...And then he's gone, poofed up in a cloud of miasma before the punch can connect, and Nora will find himself whiffing at thin air. Sorry, dude, looks like we'll never know if that particular attack will work on a Vessel or not. Someone up there's looking out for him. ]

[Nora's so busy yelling that when he finds himself punching at empty air and/or the remnants of miasma cloud he just blinks in shock and then yelps as he loses his balances and falls on his face....... After which he'll immediately pop up again, snarling angrily and looking around to scent the air...]
