FINAL CONFRONTATION.

The Winchester House looms before you, the barrier that kept everything in - the time stop that Dog placed over the area - now thin as a single pane of transparent glass, Solomon still clearly outside the house frozen in the same position he was on the tapes.
The minutes tick by - and the barrier slowly gets thinner and thinner, close to falling.
You have seen everything - the events of the past. You have also come up with your own ideas of what to do from here - how to save your fellow 6350's lost to the curse, and defeat the Curse itself.
There is no one left alive in the house.
But, at the end of all of this...
There will be a wrong righted.

Well, thank god I did bring this.
[just shifts through her bag and just-]
Catch.
[-yeets a book at him.
have fun with that.]
no subject
...
They put Akutagawa on the cover but not me?
[Somehow that wounds him more than learning that someone wrote a book about him and his friends.]
no subject
Yep.

[He'll toss the book back to Inaba.]
I'm not going back, just so you know. I don't particularly like being treated as expendable, especially not after all the requests the Foundation made of me.
The curse will eventually be destroyed, but I would like to make them sweat a little bit before that time. Maybe a shakeup is what they need.
no subject
Well - good news because we're sure fucking aren't expendable. We fixed that.
But honestly?
If you do want to make them sweat, you can go the easy way -
[her bag is still open so she takes out
a
water balloon?]
- or you can go out my way. Your choice.

[He sees that water balloon, but he doesn't say anything about it yet.]

But we made the choice to fight this fight. Us, on our own merits. Not the Foundation's.
And honestly, I don't give a flying fuck if they offered backup or not. We're dealing with it ourselves because we understand everyone here more than anything else. And because I'm sick and goddamn tired of all of this bullshit and know that, sure - things are improving for us, but that doesn't mean that it's all an immediate, one hundred percent fix.
I don't like fixing the Foundation's stupidity as much as the next person but someone's got to do it and it might as well be people who can.

[Way to go Inaba, reminding him of someone else.]
Just don't humiliate me with that, alright? [He gestures to the water balloon.] I would rather not spend the rest of today getting made fun of. Not when I have an important reunion to catch.
no subject
[she sounds super fond as she says that though, putting the water balloon away quickly]
But if you have a reunion to catch, guess I'll just have to put you out of your misery in the less stupid way.
Although - I suppose if you want him to do it instead, I can leave you to it. At least it's better than having to deal with any of that ridiculous fighting outside this office.
