Week 7: Fast Forward to 2020

It is done.

The last tape has played. All of the information that can be found from them has been discovered. They are free to re-watch the tapes, but nothing new can be found there.

The barrier will fail next Saturday. This is unavoidable. The barrier set by Tages will finally fall, and the curse will be free once more.

The only question is, what will those left alive in 2020 do to prepare?

[ Here's one of the kids who requested the water guns in the first place, watching with a considerable amount of interest and scrutiny. Over the last few years Boa has collected more familiarity with firearms than any 13 year old should have and he's developed a keen eyes for how guns should work at their best. It doesn't... quite feel the same to assess a water gun, but... all of this surely still counts for something. ]

Are these almost finished? It would be great to get a bit of practice in before we actually leave for the mission.

They are, yes! I'm mostly just looking at minor adjustments at this point. You're free to give one a try if you'd like. I'd be eager to hear your feedback.

Sure. I'm used to bullets not water, so this is going to be different. I'm rather curious.

[ But also that makes him take a closer look at the targets that are available here... ]

Is there a reason for that set-up?

Well then. Let's see how well this works.

[ Time to shoot water at paper-Jade. Which works pretty well and Boa's very quick to adjust to the unfamiliar 'weapon'. Hurray. ]

Anyway, he watches closely, making sure there isn't anything he didn't account for in the way the agents here actually use them. ]

It's good.

[ He turns the gun over in his hands as he talks, studying the design as if he was some sort of water gun expert. He is decidedly not that, but hey. ]

Shooting water feels weird, still... but I think this is going to work pretty well. I like how long the range is.Those ghosts seem awful to get too close to.
