Week 7: Fast Forward to 2020

It is done.

The last tape has played. All of the information that can be found from them has been discovered. They are free to re-watch the tapes, but nothing new can be found there.

The barrier will fail next Saturday. This is unavoidable. The barrier set by Tages will finally fall, and the curse will be free once more.

The only question is, what will those left alive in 2020 do to prepare?

...Doing that would be a waste of time, since that'd mean someone else would have to take his place, and this sordid organization will be choosing who will refill that position rather soon.

As incompetent as that sovereign is, I cannot allow even the slightest chance of that bastardization of a clown to succeed into his position. And waiting for that woman is not an option.

Assuming this organization even lasts long enough to even complete the process, but I've made my point regardless.

[ He supposed he could suggest himself? But Gilgamesh in this form technically was still a tyrant; as capable as he was, he knew the Foundation wouldn't accept it. And he was pretty much fucking rude to higher-ups during his time when he wasn't a Servant and still actually part of the Foundation. He won't mention this, but also uh...may have...exploded a place pretty badly in the facility that one time on purpose when he first arrived?

Y-Yeah...nope. ]

Maybe at the very least he could be assigned a minder.

[ There is an audible sigh of relief when Gilgamesh firmly rejects the idea of Mayuri gaining the position of power. That had been his major concern, that Gil's personal feelings would make him get in the way of choosing the lesser evil. The far far far lesser evil. ]

Unfortunately, I doubt they're going to fall apart that soon, so keeping him reigned in is our best bet. Things have gotten a lot better for us in the last half a year already, but we have to see to it that it stays that way.

[ He idly thought this organization seemed to have tested fate already with how it treated the 6350's in the first place (even if things had gotten better), when some could just. Kind of rip the place apart by tearing a hole in space or something. ]

Even if I'm not about to put my faith in this organization any time soon. The situation is still rather tenuous even now, after all.

I hated it since before I even signed the contract.

[ Unfortunately he was kind of told dying is the only way to leave and that was.... not an option. The horrors of how the 6350s were abused are still on the forefront of Boa's mind every day. Things may have changed but he has neither forgotten nor forgiven any of it. ]

I think everyone who is pretending it's all well now and we can have a good life is just lying to themselves.
