Week 7: Fast Forward to 2020

It is done.

The last tape has played. All of the information that can be found from them has been discovered. They are free to re-watch the tapes, but nothing new can be found there.

The barrier will fail next Saturday. This is unavoidable. The barrier set by Tages will finally fall, and the curse will be free once more.

The only question is, what will those left alive in 2020 do to prepare?

Can you make things look really really CLOSE to real? Like if I make something can you manipulate it to look real enough that an expert would buy it?

I believe so. I could easily create a copy of an item but manipulate the internal mechanisms to make them inert or non-functional.

Okay, then maybe we can make this work.

The items I make aren't physical in the classic sense. They're made out of Metaverse junk. Like... debris from the sea of the human subconscious. So it works on cognition and belief. If the person using it and the person it's getting used on both accept that it's real, it's real.

So the more realistic it looks the better our odds. Thankfully this world is already full of dumb magic crap so the cognition here is WAY easier to bullshit then it is for me back home. No one here bats an eye if I tell them I'm giving them an enchanted weapon.

I would be interested in hearing more about this "Metaverse" when you have the chance, perhaps while I am crafting what you need. But it should be no issue, if you are able to handle the enchantment end of the creation process.
