Week 7: Fast Forward to 2020

It is done.

The last tape has played. All of the information that can be found from them has been discovered. They are free to re-watch the tapes, but nothing new can be found there.

The barrier will fail next Saturday. This is unavoidable. The barrier set by Tages will finally fall, and the curse will be free once more.

The only question is, what will those left alive in 2020 do to prepare?

In a way, yes.

Many millennia ago, I saw a need for humanity- and all living beings on earth, really- to be protected from the dangers that exist here. SCPs aren't always hostile, but many of them are dangerous simply by their nature. They need to be watched over and carefully monitored to limit their threat to the world.

Solomon was a trusted king. I could see into his heart and I knew he was a powerful king and a good man. So I went to him, and I said to him "Gather your trusted people, ones you know will do the right thing regardless of the cost. Gather them, and make a team to combat these threats to humanity."

Ah, but he has always been a devout man. When he created the Foundation, he insisted that I be 'O5-1', regardless of how little I actually participated in the day-to-day operations. He insisted that if he had to be the leader, he still be secondary to me.

[Somehow a sense of fondness carries over those words, even if they're typed.]

so the two of you created the foundation itself...

[And to Sissel, who has no concept of human history or myth... this could as easily be only a few generations ago- not a huge swath of human history. The feeling of fondness makes him smile]

Alas, I cannot fight. You do already have my vote as an O-5, though, as well as Mission Control's. You just need a third vote to turn things in your favor. The other two O-5s are, unfortunately, not as agreeable as me.

So we need Solomon, who would vote with you since he's so devoted, or someone else on our side. Got it.

If we don't need to make a new one then I'll find the temsik and destroy it then. There's enough immortals running around already.

Your body is within the Winchester mansion still, so you can find it and destroy the fragment if you like.

that's the plan. after this... the idea of not living and aging alongside the humans doesn't appeal to me anymore.

Not at all. In fact, I think you will find that many in this world understand that feeling.

plus if i found out someone used it badly, i'd feel responsible for bringing it to this world.
